Jerome P (kr) wrote: So goddammutherf**cking horrible! Worst documentary I've ever seen. Netflix should be ashamed to be running it. Only watch if you need to see what pseudo-science bunk looks like. I've never yelled "bullshit!" at the screen so much in my life. First off, filmmaking-wise, it sucks. Talking heads with a couple if pointless animations are not what good docs are made of. Keying in "world renowned professional" isn't trustworthy, it's sneaky crap. They should be embarrassed by that. Second, it's so biased...just ugh. It just takes some common knowledge and spins it into their crap. "Eating fruits & veg is good for you!" "Big pharma is just out for profit!" Big Agra is killing the soil!" Well, no shit Sherlock. Their anecdotal evidence isn't science despite their proliferate use of the word. The credits include an "inspiration" section which included Michael Moore......if they were actually inspired by Moore, they'd realize that he does gobs of research and avoids quackery. Speaking of quacks, it also included Chopra, Winfrey and Weil. That alone should tell you about the filmmakers. F**k 'em.

Rowdy V (ru) wrote: Let me start by saying this movie was hilarious. In fact, this probably one of the funniest movies I have ever watched. However, this was supposed to be a horror movie, and horror movies are supposed to be scary, or at least suspenseful. This movie was neither. If you go into this movie expecting a comedy, you will leave satisfied, but if you go in expecting a horror movie, as I did, you will be very disappointed

Eliabeth C (jp) wrote: This could have been a funny movie, if it actually had some talented people and a better script. If I had to sum this movie up in one word it would be disturbing............ And not in a good way.

A visual feast glorified by profund understanding of Eastern concept of death for raeching your beloved! However there is a new inspiration as an oriental girl who conflicts the cliches!

No i meczy biedna mieszana chinsko-amerykanska rodzine... i meczy troche widza. PS Polski tytul to Krwawe Wizje (groza...)

Yash B (ag) wrote: It follows a formula that is basically a tweaked version of the third one. It's an enjoyable movie but nothing stands out about it. It also is very cheesy for most of its runtime. I think if you're a fan of the movies that came before it, you can find enjoyment in it, but overall it is just an average boxing movie that is predictable and sometimes takes itself too seriously.

Wahida K (ca) wrote: Frankly I was expecting a Unique Comedy with Devan Verma and Sanjeev Kumar in Double roles, but I was very dissapointed. It was a tiny bit iritating. It was a low Budget Movie, but even Hindi Low Budget Movies are nice, this one was very boring. There were some LOL moments here and there but not something speacial though I am glad to have seen it once. When a Movie begins very promising is not to be trusted. Well even a respected and a great director/writer/producer:: Gulzar was allowed to make mistakes.

John R (ca) wrote: 161201: It's funny how you notice little details with each consecutive viewing of a film. With High Plains Drifter, this time around, I picked up that Stacey Bridges (Geoffrey Lewis) and the Carlins (Dan Vadis & Anthony James), the badass villains that they are, use hollow-point bullets. These bullets would've been damn rare, if not non-existent around the time this film was to have taken place. As for the film itself, there is no way I'm changing my ratings on this one. High Plains Drifter is one of my rare five star movies. I could just talk for hours about how great the cast and characters are. The villains are a perfect example. Lewis and James are easily recognizable, classic black hat bad guys but I believe special credit should go to whoever chose Dan Vadis to portray Dan Carlin. Vadis' character, in his relatively little short screen time, comes across as a true psychopath, a guy you just wouldn't want to mess with...unless you're The Stranger (Clint Eastwood). And the townsfolk of Lago? What a wonderful ensemble of wacky personalities, each special and contributing to the overall community in their own unique way. From the more prominent players, such as Mordecai (Billy Curtis), to the lesser ones, the Mexican laborers, the cast seems to have been perfectly selected and scripted. The outcome is an almost uncomfortably honest portrayal of a corrupt, narcissistic community, something viewers likely all fear, and associate with, in some small way. There are some interesting theories on-line regarding the intention of the script behind High Plains Drifter, in particular, The Stranger's relationship to Marshal Duncan. Check them out as I've found they've only contributed to my enjoyment of this film.
