ROAD 2: THE SEA OF GLASS AND FIRE picks up where the first film in the series ends. After the rapture has taken place, JOSH MCMANUS (David A. R. White) is left behind and goes on a journey to find out what has happened and attempts to travel home to find his family. Before he can go anywhere, he is confronted again by the biker gang that harassed him previously and he joins forces with a young girl whose family has been taken up into the sky by God along with other believers. Chasing Josh at every turn is the brutal outlaw HAWG (Brian Bosworth) and his rolling gang of killers. On the day after the Biblical rapture, law and order have broken down - the highways have become a no-mans-land of bandits and looters. Josh's world has been shaken to the core, and he must make a choice, embrace his past as a man of violence, or learn a new path and become a man of faith. Which will he choose?
Revelation Road 2 continues the thrilling odyssey of Josh McManus on the road to find his family. During the voyage, he and Cat - a young orphaned girl, form a team. Shelly (nl) wrote: I was quite happy with this flick, but maybe just because I'm such a huge Flight of the Conchords fan that I paid more for this film than I pay for a lot of films even when I knew the guys would have little to no screentime. If you can enjoy a film on a basic level, then there's nothing wrong with this flick.

Buggy B (us) wrote: This wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It is a complete Guy Richie knock off but Samuel Jackson is always a good time and his fish out of water -American chemist in Liverpool was pretty fun. (As was him rockin the kilt for an entire movie) I also liked Robert Carlyle & Rhys Ifans, and they saved this from being unwatchable (Meat Loaf). Jackson plays a disgraced pharmacist (the opening scene is classic) who travels to England to sell a potent new street drug he's invented. His plans for a quick score go awry however and he gets stuck in Liverpool with an unlikely escort, an ex-girlfriend assassin and lots of double dealing. Some funny situations, and as with all Guy Richie films oops ---rip offs there are a web of storylines and bizarre characters involved. Closing scene is Jackson in all his glory! Awesome LOL 5.09.14

Tim S (ag) wrote: Here we go again. Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol, otherwise known as the last film in the series to feature Steve Guttenberg, does more things right than it does wrong, especially compared to the previous sequels in the series. First of all, G.W. Bailey is back, which is a definite improvement, as is the rest of the cast from the previous films and some newcomers that hit the scene in the previous sequel. The story is dumber than the previous sequels by comparison, but it seems to be a bit more fun. Again, the material is more light-hearted and softer than the original film's raunch, but not too shabby. You'll also find, in small parts, up and coming actors David Spade and Sharon Stone. This film REALLY should have been the last in the series. It goes out with a bit of a bang and you'd feel comfortable if it were the last, but even without Guttenberg, they plundered on anyway.

A young Richard Gere & Tom Berenger make effective appearances here. We have a young woman trying to find her way in the world. She is a school teacher of challenged students. By nite, she is sexually promiscuous, drinks way too much, and takes unknown illegal drugs frm shady characters. This is a recipe for disaster. The film still rings true, decades later. Many young people, before their personalities are fully formed, take excessive risks. Some get out of this, hopefully short-lived period, OK. Others arent so lucky. And, many people seem to never find their way out of a self-constructed forest of destructive behavior. Its a classic story of human behavior; played out anew by each new generation.
