Josh McManus, a traveling salesman with a cloudy past, finds himself in a dusty West Texas town at the wrong time. Ebert, as he often does, nailed it when he said "Apart from anything else, this is one of the best-sustained ideas I have ever seen on the screen." I'll add that the directors along with Dreyden's effort, is some of the best work I've seen on screen, given the time constraints. I did not follow at times and some of the symbolism went over my head but that didn't seem to matter, watching this was a dizzying, dreamlike experience. I won't forget that.
