(mx) wrote: Fascinating from a sociological point of view, but also seems a bit too determined to anoint importance on something that probably was just one of those things.
(de) wrote: What a sad waste of resources! This is not funny, not dramatic, just nauseating in every way. This is not only Wes Craven's worst movie. It's one of the most crappy films of all time. Eddie Murphy sucks, so does the film. Unfunny, unscary, ungory, uncinematic. All in all, pure garbage.
(fr) wrote: Airplane! Is a classic comedy movie. This movie is sort of a slapstick comedy. There are tons of jokes throughout the movie. Impossible not to laugh! I would suggest this movie.
(ag) wrote: Pretty much the only factual thing in this movie was John Dillinger's name. Some of these descrepincies can be attributed to the fact that this was released in 1945 just 11 years after JD died so some errors are forgivable but they make John out to be a trigger happy murderer when in reality he was always hesitent about the use of his weapons. None of the Dillinger gang---Pierpont, Mackley, Van Meter, Billie Frechette or even Louis Piquett is represented. Instead they made up a different cast. They show dillinger robbing things like trains, jewelers and restaurants when he did nothing of the kind. They also show him during the Little Bohemia incident murdering Emil Wanatka and his wife even though they were both alive and well afterwards. Complete crap.
(es) wrote: A young mute woman who was sexually assault as a child got heroin addicted by a pimp to force her into prostitution, she plotted her revenge by learning how to drive fast cars, how to shoot and how to fight. It was outright exploitative, the slow motions were gruelling and the acting was practically non-existent. Despite all the flaws, it serves as a good cult classic which inspired many films such as Kill Bill.
(ru) wrote: Based on a story by Edogawa Rampo, this is certainly a film very ahead of it's time in many aspects. A strange relationship develops between a blind sculptor and a female model. Hardly the type of film that gets made these days.
