Richard the Lionheart: Rebellion

Richard the Lionheart: Rebellion

The year is 1173. England and France are at war. The destiny of the two great powers has never been so intertwined. As King Henry's wife, Queen Eleanor, is captured and imprisoned by the king himself, Richard and his brothers lead the fight against their father in a heartless war. Allegiances shift with each victory or defeat as the destinies of England and France keep swaying in a delicate balance.

Trent G (au) wrote: An interesting look at some of the obsessions men have about their identity and looks from hair, to mustaches to grooming in general. It doesn't focus on one solid idea, but shows how diverse men are with their attempts at looking the way they do, and how diverse women are in what they want. In then end, It just solidifies that there is something for everyone.

It seems as if they are just making these movies now for..well..just because, but I actually like most of them that come out. This one is a good example of how to make a good, creepy Scooby Doo movie. It has violence and some comedy mixed in here and there. Fun movie!

Normally that's OK and could make a compelling movie. But the flashbacks as he remembered his past weren't informative, just annoying. Foreign language snippets without subtitles made me guess what was going on. Totally ludicrous hospital setting -- a nurse feeding a patient? A nurse lighting up and smoking in a room with a patient on oxygen? A nurse smoking at all? A doctor getting into a fist fight with a patient who was agitated (did he not learn about injectable sedatives in med school?) and so on. With a start like that, it was obvious the movie was carelessly made and no attention was given to realistic detail. That made it hard (impossible) to care or discern what was imaginary and what was real, and that contrast should have (could have) been the whole point of the movie. A very good actor's effort was wasted in a poorly-written, poorly-directed movie.

Robert B (ru) wrote: Ironically, Lost Highway is not as good as I remember it. It has a great opening for a noir/horror thriller. It may have made a good 90 minute or 105 minute film but over two hours is far too long and the 90s soundtrack feels dated. Lost Highway is not a bad film but is definitely a notch below the other Lynch films I have viewed recently (Mulholland Drive, Wild at Heart).
