Kade C (br) wrote: A fun story with fantastic returning and new characters, and feels familiar in the best ways. My only gripes with the film are the few too many callbacks to the original, and the somewhat over-the-top ending. Other than that the film is incredibly fun and satisfying to watch.

Justin H (mx) wrote: If you can excuse the paper-thin plot, low budget, and gaping plot holes, then "Hiruko" really isn't a bad little horror flick. Unfortunately, it isn't really that great either. Its biggest problem is that it doesn't seem to know whether it wants to be genuinely suspenseful/creepy or just irreverent/silly. Instead, it constantly waffles between the extremes, and ends up doing only a middling job at either of them. But "Hiruko" still had some interesting monsters, and it certainly wasn't hard to sit through. If you're looking for something different, you could do worse.

Ryan V (ca) wrote: An LA music producer (Jim Brown) runs afoul of a paramilitary organization that plans to kill every black person in America by introducing a disease to the water supply. They kill his buddy and kidnap his lady love (Sheila Frazier), but the bad guys didn't count on their quarry calling in a karate master (Jim Kelly) and a weapons expert (Fred WIlliamson) for backup. Three The Hard Way was directed by Gordon Parks Jr. after his success with Superfly and, while it didn't make as much impact, this blaxploitation effort is noteworthy for how its threadbare plot is strung up by frequent car chases, constant explosions, numerous gun fights, cheesy overacting, kung fu grappling, and a very bizarre pretext to feature topless women. Three The Hard Way is pulpy sleaze, but that's part of the fun.

Senor C (ag) wrote: Far from the best Lee Van Cleef vechile but as a fan of his I can't rightly complain. He always makes the medicore westerns watchable & he is pretty badass in this even catching a bullet between his teeth. As a Van Cleef or even just a spaghetti western fan it should be checked out because it does have some nice touches I just woldn't classify it as one of the best. The theme song is incredible. Those who have seen Kill Bill will recognize it but here it is the best part. It's too bad the rest of the movie doesn't live up to that incredible score. If it couldn't have I would have put it up there w/ Death Rides a Horse but not Lorne's work..

Tony B (ca) wrote: For the audiophiles and anyone that loves a very good and very personal documentary. It's about the life of a obsessive record collector and others like him, but it is so much more than just that, you just have to see it. Amazing work for a first time DIY amateur film-maker.
