Noomi I (es) wrote: I have wanted to see this movie since it broadcasted in Japan. At last I could see it. The main character is a butler of White House whose name is Cecil Gaines. The story is not about inside of White House but the changing of the United States. I learned and understood a lot about racism in the United States of the time from this movie. I assumed that I could be crying because the Japanese title is "Tears of The president 's Butler." It sounds like a plenty of tears, isn't it?(only me?) But I didn't cry. Of course I moved, especially the part of Cecil and his wife visits his hometown, and they make sure their love each other. As I expected this movie didn't make me bored and it was good to see such a great movie.

Gerry S (nl) wrote: A fairly interesting take on the high school experience of over privileged suburbanites. This isn't exactly virgin territory (no pun intended), but the writer and director put in (no pun intended) enough edgy material to make it worthwhile. The character's confusion as to who they are and what their future holds is vividly captured by the trio of young actors who make up this confused threesome (pun intended).

Gregory M (br) wrote: yeah, I know...a Transexual Beauty Pageant documentary . If you ever queestion wether transexuals are men as women or women as men, they are all women....thes ladies are soooo catty its unreal. Careful not to get drunk around these women cause you may just get fooled. Shitty documentary though. Every single contestant said they hated gym class...YAWN !!!!

Joe M (ca) wrote: Subtitles throughout, as this is all in French, To Be and To Have would be a great teacher for teachers of kindergarten and first grade teachers. The man teaches with love. I personally found it fairly boring until the end. When the kids are done for the year, the oldest are leaving to middle school for good, their love of their teacher is palpable. Brought tears to my eyes in fact. Just plan on it moving rather slowly and having an inside look at the day to day issues involved with kiddos at a very small school in France. This is more of an educational film, not so much entertaining, that's why I give only 3.5 stars. If it were what I was seeking, it would have gotten 5 stars. It wasn't all that entertaining to me though. I can see how mothers would appreciate it a lot more than I did.

Corpse M (mx) wrote: really not funny at all. the main characters are suppose to have these two really annoying catch frazes. one is the guy whistles a little tune and the other has his pwn lil chuckle but they never catch on and the movie is just lame.

Simon S (es) wrote: This is essentially a film that makes up two halves of a whole: If you have seen any other romantic comedy ever made, you have seen Maid in Manhattan...and yet if you watch this film there really is no reason to see any more romantic comedies ever again, for you have now seen them all. It seems that the entire contents of "rom-com 101" was just copy and pasted for a script, there are literally no cliches of the genre that aren't used. It's not unconditionally terrible, it's just a film that has no reason to exist.
