Grant S (au) wrote: Not bad, but quite disappointing. The movie builds up well, but then falls apart at the end. For the most part it was the story of a (potentially failed) relationship: the blissful courtship, the problem-free initial steps of living together, then the fraying at the edges as hitherto unseen flaws in the couples' characters are revealed, the frustration (why does she stay with him?), the intrigue (what will happen to them?). Then...an incredibly random and perverse ending. It was a good character study up until that strange conclusion, and went some way to answering the question "Why do beautiful, intelligent women go out with paranoid, controlling, obsessive-compulsive prudes?". Unfortunately the answer is that flattering to these beautiful, intelligent women.Decent performances from the two lead actors, Gustaf Skarsgaard and Anna Astrom. Astrom is incredibly beautiful.Sadly the soundtrack does not include Pearl Jam's "Better Man" and Joe Jackson's "Is she really going out with him?" as these would have been highly appropriate.

Keith E (br) wrote: Surprisingly risqu for its day, I was completely enraptured by the locations even though it was filmed on set. I have finally broken through my indifference to silent cinema and have come to love its rhythms and intricate simplicity.

Paul C (de) wrote: I am a sucker for B-horror movies. This film tries to make fun of horror movies and its cliches. But it's not original enough and becomes what it sets out to ridicule: a crappy horror movie. The sort of "twist" was weak and confusing. At times it was funny, but mostly annoying.

Petar (au) wrote: Very good portrayal of problems that humans could face and what would they do about it. Movie shows us that mankind is more important than individuals and we are able to see what crew had on their backs. When you thought it was going to be another boring Sci-fi movie director uses surprise effect and keeps you to the end of the movie waiting and expecting what is going to happen. Cillian performance is something you will remember as he successfully gives us experience of what is happening and at the end how beautiful Sun is. 90/100
