Aaron M (mx) wrote: Rush Hour 2 is every bit as good as the original. Still whacky and fun, Lee and Carter pick up right where they left off. I was worried that without the initiation process there relationship wouldn't be as genuine but together they continued to be great. Its even funny than the first whilst the plot not quite as strong. Its interesting how they turned the tides between the character and their venerability to new culture. They dont make movies like these anymore.

Dilan A (gb) wrote: Encapsulating; it sets off on a pace that had me looking at my watch at first, but the story then unfolded and the depth of these characters whom I genuinely cared about only got deeper and richer.

Matt C (ca) wrote: A really cool look into life at Versailles and the crazy drama that went on there. I was just studying la noblesse in French so it was quite entertaining.

Morten E (jp) wrote: Noiret and Lhermitte is a great couple. Especially Noiret gives an outstanding performance as the charming but completely crooked cop. The moves oozes of atmosphere from Montmatre. It was a huge hit and two sequels was made after 6 and 13 years! The first one is a sparkling classic which you should not miss!

Walter M (ag) wrote: In "Two Men in Town," Germain(Jean Gabin), an educator who volunteers for the parole board in a prison, puts his reputation on the line in writing when he states that Gino Strabliggi(Alain Delon, who also produced) is reformed after ten years in prison and deserves to be released two years early. Over strenuous objections, he gets his wish and Gino is as good as his word, as he is reunited with his dutiful wife Sophie(Ilaria Occhini) and gets a job as a printer. Even when his old cohort Marcel(Victor Lanoux) comes to pay a visit, he is not even tempted. Things do not go as well for Germain as he stops working at the prison after a prisoner's suicide and riot and moves to Montpelier to work with delinquents. "Two Men in Town" has some important things to advocate on the subject of prisoners deserving humane treatment, reform, not punishment, and the benefit of the doubt, no matter what they may have done in the past. All of which is too touchy a subject for any politician to take up as a cause. Otherwise, the movie is fairly routine but does play with a genre convention or two. Most of its allure comes from the movie's star power, especially an early confrontational scene between Alain Delon and Gerard Depardieu, that in retrospect could be seen as something of a changing of the guard.

Adrian B (mx) wrote: Provocative tale of three teenagers (Barbara Hershey, Richard Thomas, and Bruce Davison) who are beginning to get hormones and wanting sex. They start to experiment with one another, and drag another poor girl (Cathy Burns) into the mix. Could be compared to "The Last Picture Show" released two years later, but does not have the same greatness as that film does. However, it is still interesting and they are quite a few memorable scenes. One notable segment is when the three teenagers take care of seagull and try to help it fly again. Unfortunately, it does not survive, thanks to Hershey's anger issues. Performances are strong, especially by Burns, and the cinematography, for which the film takes place on Fire Island, off the coast of Long Island (I thought further south than that).

Joshua C (us) wrote: Decent enough movie. Ashton Kutcher did an ok job portraying Steve Jobs! The movie ended kind of abruptly though. Not as bad as most people say.
