Une si jolie petite plage (English titles: Such a Pretty Little Beach and Riptide) is a French film shot in black-and-white, directed by Yves Allégret and released in 1949. The film stars Gérard Philipe, Madeleine Robinson and Jane Marken. The film is set on the Channel coast of northern France, in a drab and depressing small seaside town being deluged by incessant rain. The film noir-influenced style emphasises the relentlessly downbeat, oppressive and claustrophobic atmosphere of the milieu. Swayam B (es) wrote: It's a been here done that kind of experience !! No it's not bad but it's not exception !! Tigmanshu has done exceedingly well before and he can do it agin. But this time he is compelled to showcase Saif rather showcasing his talent and his script. Saif is too good but even good is Jimmy Shergill here. Good One TIme watch !!

Samaila A (ag) wrote: A set of not very likeable characters are caught together in an apocalypse of sort. Really nice show especially because as it goes further we move from friendship to baggages and then to self-centredness.

Johnny T (mx) wrote: The Lost Thing has a beautiful melancholic charm that evokes the work of writer Neil Gaiman and filmmaker Tim Burton. Tan has previously worked as a conceptual artist on computer animated films Horton Hears a Who! and WALLE, and his experience creating unique and immersive landscapes is evident in The Lost Thing. It is a sad and bureaucratic world, not too distant from Terry Gilliam's Brazil, where a population lost in their daily routine don't notice the presence of an extraordinary creature that needs looking after. Blessed with glowing animation, storybook transitions, gentle humor and a dreamlike logic, The Lost Thing is a real gem; whimsical, universal, and yet somehow very Australian (could just be the accent, but I think it's the light). VERDICT: "Matine" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matine prices to see at a theatre, buy an ex rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own.

Kisaan T (de) wrote: The Film did not receive the Attention it deserved. The Audience are understood but even many Critics did not gave the film what it should have. It was not even nominated in any local Bollywood Award ceremonies, including The National Awards.

Orlok W (br) wrote: Warning: Contains lots of walking in a cave and grunting--Too much fumbling in the dark and unrealized ideas make this an interesting misfire!!

Ryan B (gb) wrote: A great film to watch if you have ever seen Nosferatu. The atmosphere was thick, the performances were wonderfully over the top. And the last act was so, strange, I think in a good way.I enjoyed it immensely, and I thought the story about the making of the horror classic was clever.

Adam H (nl) wrote: Great movie, one of the best kid movies ever made. This movie began Pixar's success and is still entertaining children today. I love this movie. Fantastic, nothing negative to say about it.

Kristen W (gb) wrote: An extremely watered down version of "Cannibal Holocaust".

Matthew B (nl) wrote: Pixar doing short little films is like a teat to those who show support to they amazing films.Lifted is about a teenage alien tries to abduct a sleeping human, but with so many switches to do so, it's nearly impossible. While I'm doing these short films from Pixar because I like to talk and recommend short animated films to those who haven't seen or heard of them. These just something about watching these movies and short films that nobody probably never heard of and discovered that it's amazing or great and it's like my duty to recommend and talk about it to get it's auditions to take notice, and Lifted is another great short animated film by Pixar. The story telling to Lifted is very well done, letting only it's humor tell a funny story and get the only two character's personality in a matter of a couple of minutes. I laughed my head off just of the person getting toss around and not walking up to it while his getting smacked into walls, something about that gave me something to laugh at, that's how silly but kind of amazing about this one.Go check it out if you have the chance.
