The fatal [ha ha] flaw in Fatal Contact is that the story just isn't that interesting, nor are the characters that engaging. But the action is really what this film is all about. It is a great showcase for Wing Ju's martial arts talent. He is ace!
David M (fr) wrote: I can't justify this is a great movie, but I always enjoy it when it plays on TV, which is good enough for me. The satisfaction you get at the end of this movie after so much frustration is great.

Jeffrey M (mx) wrote: Though it sometimes shows its' limitations of being made to premiere on network TV (it's not quite Goodfellas), Witness to the Mob is still a pretty effective portrayal of John Gotti, Sammy Gravano, and the Gambino crime family. The running time of 3 hours allowed the story time to develop. The cast reads as a who's who of the later Sopranos series. Tom Sizemore was fantastic as John Gotti, a boastful egomaniac. I wasn't sold on the performance of Nicholas Turturro as Sammy "the bull" Gravano, it was too positive, undoubtedly arising out of the perceived need for a protagonist. The real Gravano was certainly a sociopath.

Dave S (mx) wrote: Brilliant. I especially like the structure of this, how we see almost everything as it's happening so the mystery is instead almost entirely about motive and what's going to happen next. And even if the big reveal seems more obvious now than it did initially, it's still a lot of fun getting there. Plus, the fright break actually makes narrative sense - it happens while a character is debating leaving - and manages to heighten the tension. The entire sequence following the fright break is fantastically effective.

Jonathan D (nl) wrote: Harry joins Dumbledore in a quest to discover details about Voldemort's past that could lead to his undoing in the future, all while the teenage trio deal with humorous and heartbreaking relationship woes. This sixth film deftly balances mystery, comedy, and romance for its first two hours, wisely slowing the pace to give its characters room to breathe and grow before thrusting them into the breathless, chilling, and genuinely heartbreaking last half hour. Michael Gambon here gives the definitive portrayal of Dumbledore, and the relatively lighthearted initial tone serve as a brilliant contrast to the earth-shattering encroachment of evil; it truly feels like there's something to lose, and the stakes are set high for the finale. IS IT OKAY FOR YOUR KIDS? Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince israted PG. A central character is hit with a killing curse and dies;friends and colleagues mourn around the body.
