Tor M (gb) wrote: This is like a mixture of "Funny Games" and "Dogtooth" - maybe with a touch of Quentin Dupieux? A film driven by absurd motives in a realistic setting, where we meet some kind of man, Borgman. He comes from an underground hideout somewhere in the forrest. He needs a shower, naturally, and he asks the people living in a very nice resident nearby. We get to know the family that lives there, their nanny, their gardener, along with Borgman and his friends. The excellent performance of Jan Bijvoet, portraying Borgman is quite a treat. It's lovely shot and produced, just great. It's got a weird vibe, quite artsy and absurd. Lovely scenery and some fascinating chracters. A pretty sterile film, almost without soundtrack, with no fancy effects.Things often seem to happen for no reason. You get what's actually happening, but not why.I guess you could say it's pointless, but on the other hand it's very open and it will leave you plesantly unknowing. This is layered surrealism, with a message of some sort. I don't know if I figured it out, but it's not neccessary or important. Dark, still funny and an incredible movie experience.A film that hasn't left my head months after watching it.9.5 out of 10 popsicle sticks.

I think it was a tad bit rushed and more like a lot of other generic comedies out there rather than possessing the cult-like humor that Super Troopers did. Definitely a favorite of mine though.

What i didn't like was her friend not being very supportive of her moving up. I can relate to not getting credit for my ideas at work too. I'm glad in the end she moved herself up both job and men wise,
