Daniel O (br) wrote: Taking a step back from reality, this film reminds you that one can dream regardless of how old one is. It is important to take certain things seriously, but there should always be some leeway to deviate from reality.

Haffi H (br) wrote: Great camera work and a good movie over all. The scene where the general leads his troops over the battle field with nothing but a hand gun and a whistle is amazing. The last scene where the german lady sings is nothing but a masterpiece.

Doug C (gb) wrote: A decent film about the Depression-era Dillinger gang, mostly typical gangster fare but the movie is well-paced and Lawrence Tierney plays a good Dillinger.

Jason A (mx) wrote: Director Ching Tsui Tung (Chinese Ghost Story I and II, East is Red) manages to give the tubby Seagal his first movie of the new millenium that rises above the two star or below level. The story is engrossing, the acting passable, and- even though he is still heavily doubled- the action scenes don't really suffer that badly. I can't say that Belly of the Beast is a great movie, but it's probably the only movie Mr. Seagal has done in the past ten years that isn't easily overshadowed by the latest Lorenzo Lamas movie or Witchcraft entry in its entertainment value. That's probably saying a lot, but I doubt it. Watch it. Probably. LOL
