Although there's probably more nudity in this than in any of the other films, it all fits within Russell's style. While not his best work, when seen as part of his body of work this one is a natural fit...particularly the choice of cast, locations and music.

This used the themes that The Exorcist used just a year or two before and really crafted it into it's own creepy little low-budget blaxploitation take on the same theme. Full of funny lines and somewhat shocking special effects, this is a very unique piece in time with all of the circumstances surrounding the film, since it was nearly buried shortly after release.

MF J (ca) wrote: Probably one of my favorite Lucio Fulci horror film, this little jewel is worth watching for the incredible death scenes and the creativity shown towards the creation of make up, masks and gory effects. From a purely visual point, the film is a beautiful nightmare, filled with weird camera angles, over the top blood splattered deaths and of course a vintage soundtrack filled with 80's synthesizers... a cult and little classic in my opinion!
