Rosemary's Baby torrent reviews

Caesar M (de) wrote: I've given out many zeroes and complained allot why that film deserves that rating. So what makes this one any different? Simple, one should never combine politics and Christmas together into a movie unless it's a political satire or comedy of some kind, but instead we have a film that is pure propaganda and a drama that it full of itself. Last Ounce of Courage is literally a movie about a man celebrating Christmas in a time when it's outlawed and happily shove its political message down your throat. The film started innocently with a Ronald Reagan quote about protecting and fighting for our freedom. It showed family saying goodbye to a young going to the military and for a moment I thought it was going to explore the courage it must take for anyone serving their country to keep on fighting knowing what they have to loose. Nope, instead the writers thought it would be more interesting to focus on a "rebellious act" where celebrating Christmas is consider offensive. Why someone would use a holiday like Christmas to send a message about fighting for our freedom is anyone guess. Last Ounce of Courage easily contains the worst writing ever for a Christmas and the worst writing for a movie that came out this year. I have no idea where to begin on the very poor writing. I have no idea if I should start with the Supreme Court having an order to take down one Christmas tree or how one of the writers had the bright idea of having a Reagan quote in a Christmas movie. Either way, this movie is the textbook definition of Razzie winning material. The fact that the line "Can I talk to you about that door" is even utter is a testament to clueless writing. I have to be honest for I never imagined I would ever see a pharmacist who is not only a war veteran, but also the mayor of a small town. The writers also fail grasp how dating works in real life. One man would not ask a woman out to dinner after telling that woman about his wife leaving him. A man would also not talk about your date dead husband over the course of the date. Also, this town is really boring. Just the fact a man could get on the news just for putting up a single Christmas decoration is so stupid I couldn't laugh. I have to simply say I literally kept punching the air imagining I was punching the writers because of how awful it presents its idea that it will test everyone tolerance. I could literally spend several paragraphs detailing everything wrong with the writing, but everything else is equally as bad. The acting is very wooden and none actors look convincing in their roles. A motorcycles gang does not look like a group of chubby single men. Also it lazy film making at it worst. Just the lone fact that the film makers used CG for Christmas lights is lazy. The worst crime the film commits is taking itself to seriously. It literally believes what its saying is worth caring about. If it was worth caring about then why play patriotic music when you have a character just taking about putting up a Christmas tree. I would keep complaining why this movie is awful, but it's not worth talking about it in great length. It's slow agonizingly slow, has cardboard characters to go along with the even more wooden acting, and many, many, many more flaws. Last Ounce of Courage tested my tolerance like no other bad film has ever done before. Just the fact it takes itself so seriously and blindly believes its sending a message about preserving our freedom through Christmas is insulting. Its a film that insults anybody that has ever fought for their country which is goes beyond tasteless film making. This is without a shed of doubt the worst movie release of 2012.

Dave R (br) wrote: Slow moving and disturbing. I never witnessed so may rape scenes in one movie. I know the bad characters were with bad intentions but seriously...too graphic and disturbing. Also there were so many breast shots that it actually just made the movie drag on and not move forward.

Dany L (de) wrote: A Danish version of Blue Velvet. Completely accessible and very likeably strange

Frank P (fr) wrote: It's extremely unfortunate that Yella is the most available Petzold for the English-speaking market. Despite a ridiculous ending, platitudinous music, and baffling character motivations, the film showcases Petzold's rigorous mise-en-scene and promising talents for something great. I hope Jerichow becomes available some time soon.

Erlend O (us) wrote: Disappointing, but very British. Shoddy editing at times, some crap acting, some great acting and too much 'ard police. Could have been a modern classic, though.

Kim H (de) wrote: Another number one for Kevin Kline. This man is brilliant and one of the best actors that is often over looked. I have grown to love this movie even more every time I watch it.

Jay B (au) wrote: A pretty great supporting cast stops this familiar premise from feeling stale. There are some laughs to be had.

Risa C (ag) wrote: cute movie. i love that she fell in love with the guy that pretended to be her husband and that he fell in love with her. im also glad that she got her job back. it would be cool to live in london!

Janice P (de) wrote: Jennifer Connelly, Donal Pleasance, tons of insects, a pit of maggot-infested corpses, and a razor-wielding ape...in a film directed by Dario Argento. If that doesn't sell you, I don't know what will. Phenomena a.k.a. Creepers is a hodgepodge of several subgenera and styles that shouldn't work and, yet, in some wacky way, it does. If one approaches the film like a strange fairy tale (much like Argento's masterpiece Suspiria), it makes for a much more satisfying viewing. Much like Argento's Tenebrae, Phenomena builds and builds until the crazy final 20 minutes where you won't even believe what's happening right in front of you eyes. Add in beautiful Swiss locations, great special effects, a deranged performance by Daria Nicolodi, and a killer soundtrack and you have a winner.

Pam R (kr) wrote: I've been wanting to see this movie for like FOREVER. It was ok I guess. I just kind of thought it would be better. I mean what was I expecting though. It's a pretty old movie.

Cassandra M (mx) wrote: This likable but over-silly sequel involves the first film's camp duo, Ugo Tognazzi and Michel Serrault, in a rather desperate spy adventure when secret police and foreign agents try to find a microfilm the couple are inadvertently carrying around. Serrault's squealing performance as the suffering artiste dredges up a few laughs, particularly towards the end when he first disguises himself as a woman, and then has to pretend to be a woman disguising herself as a man. For the most part, though, this is tiresome stuff, jerking around all over the place thanks to its wildly uneven tone. Still, it's an improvement on the shrill original.

Cameron F (br) wrote: Siblings must confront their dysfunctional past in another familiar movie about life's obstacles.

Serge L (gb) wrote: I don't know about this one. I somehow understand the boy's anger at the beginning but found the wild things rather imbeciles and creepy from the start. plus the lies were just too big and silly to have me hang on the film. Probably too english psychopathic for me. Not sure it would be good for kids either.

John B (jp) wrote: Funny Girl was controversial in its time. A Muslim and a Jew..together...oh my. It's all a little plot I know but Sharif and Streisand work very well together and make this a delight.

Jason M (au) wrote: A sensitive and touching tale of a man dying from cancer and trying to accomplish one last meaningful deed before he dies. From the great Akiro Kurosawa, Ikiru evokes many emotions such as sadness, pity, empathy, joy, etc. A must watch for any cinema student. After all, this is another masterpiece from Akiro Kurosawa.

Steve W (ru) wrote: I watched this version because of Vivien Leigh. She is an amazing actress, which is why I checked this one out. A very tragic but excellent romantic story.
