(gb) wrote: Great movie. Very different from the movies I'm used to. Nevertheless a gripping concept and twist that will leave you in awe. Short, simple and to the point.

(kr) wrote: The humor in this movie is delivered very straight and subtle and maybe that's partially due to reading subtitles and my not understanding Icelandic inflection. It is interesting to see how they portray conservatives and conservative speaking points about gays, which seem from another decade or a rural point of view, and yet they are also so much more free with their bodies and nudity in general, both men and women. Anyway, rent this movie because you'll laugh a lot, there are cute men and it's well acted and a good story. Can't say much else about it because I find describing the Icelandic elements to it so difficult.

(ag) wrote: I luv luv luv this film cos, altho its a rom-com & they're usually made bad, this has somethin & is quite special 2 me. Its a perfect summer's day film. The crossover of American Monica Potter who is as lovely as eva in London with 3 v. eligible men who happen 2 b 3 of some of my fave actors makes this even better. Its funny & the right kind of sweet without being overly slushy. & Ray Winstone's in it 4 heaven's sake!!! Rufus Sewell is gorgeous, Tom Hollander is so funny & cute & Joseph Fiennes ... need I say mre....?? Beyond hot! 1 thing tho ... did they HAV 2 giv it that mushy title 4 America??!!
(jp) wrote: Woody Allen's breakout is exceptionally crafted for a romantic comedy, with mature subtext, plenty of funny breaks in reality and great performances to go with them, but its relationship drives and sendoff opinion on what love is aren't universal.[Original rating: 4]
(gb) wrote: I loved seeing Greg Kinnear in this role. I'd love seeing him as my pastor who inspires people each Sunday. Anyways, the movie was very enjoyable. I think I enjoyed it more because I love to see faith stretched to every level and I love believing. The extended sequences of heaven were a little shaky and I would have rather those be left for interpretation, but in any case, I very much enjoyed this film
(au) wrote: It was kinda boring, and not as funny as the others, but it has a kinda great plot and interesting elements that the others lack. And the animation is slightly horrendous, still a good movie; but Scrat was hilarious. The main characters are also nice .
