Royal Bengal Rahasya

Feluda alias Pradosh Mitra, a private detective is invited by a rich former Zamindar (and a retired big game hunter) in North Bengal. The task is to solve a riddle which was written by an ancestor long time ago. The riddle ostensibly contains clue to finding hidden treasure that belongs to the family of the Zamindar. When Tarit Sengupta, the personal secretary of the Zamindar is killed in mysterious circumstances, Feluda finds out that Tarit had already solved the riddle, and was in the process of stealing the treasure when he was killed. Then the mystery thickens as there are many suspects. At the end the man-eating Tiger appears to give the story a new dimension. How does Feluda Solve it? See it to believe. The mastery of Satyajit Rays's writing and direction of Sandip Ray can be seen here.

Anoop K (kr) wrote: Another directional excellence from young Vineeth Sreenivasan..... Best Romantic Movie among the recent time releases........

Alan M (au) wrote: Absolutely an amazing mystery and suspenseful drama, excellent acting, story and chemistry between Hopkins and Gosling! Would recommend to anyone and watch it with them!

Oliver S (ag) wrote: The worst film I've ever seen. Worse than Junior. Anyone who says "It's okay" is a fucker. I was embarrassed for everyone in it from beginning to end.

Naomi C (mx) wrote: After forcing myself to get through 20 minutes of it, I really began to like it as it really explores the characters, I was worried that it was going to become unsavoury and was relieved that it remained innocent. More attention could have been given to character clothing as I highly doubt an 'alternative' teenage girl would be wearing beigey sensible trousers during her spare time.

Rob N (jp) wrote: A little thought-provoking movie directed by Peter Fonda in the early 70s. Focusing on time travel & backpacking in the Idaho wilderness.., with a little surprise twist at the end!

Geir F (au) wrote: While it's always interesting to see what the ocean looked like fifty years ago, The Silent World has otherwise dated badly. This is most apparent in the APPALLING manner in which Costeau and his crew interacts with the wildlife they encounter. Riding on turtles, ramming and eventually killing a sperm whale, blowing up a lagoon with dynamite(!), and perhaps worst of all, pulling a pile of sharks out of the water and beating them to death for no good reason. While all of this can generally be attributed to different sensibilites, which have changed over time, it still makes for very tough viewing. Still, fans of Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou definitely need to see this.

Jacob W (mx) wrote: Though it begins a very unique, heartbreaking, and moving story, in the end it borrows too much from its predecessors, is far too predictable, and much too overdramatic to be truly amazing. Even so, some of the work outside the ring is quite beautiful and earns this picture's reputation. Howard's direction is well-off as usual and Crowe is as powerful a leading man as anyone, but it's Zellweger who proves to be a let down when the spot light asks too much of her. Some of her scenes are sadly some of the worst in the film. All in all it's a good sports film, but nothing extraordinary. (81%)

Evan W (de) wrote: An inventive sci-fi thriller from Hammer's black and white period. It's hard for a mostly unintelligent lump of radioactive mud to make a compelling antagonist, and the ending is weirdly abrupt, but it's an engaging film nonetheless.
