Kenric A (ca) wrote: What's with the low ratings? Maybe it's the red wine talking (all out of champagne sorry), but there were only a couple stale scenes and the rest was absolutely fabulous!

Devo K (es) wrote: An excellent quirky comedy that's as dark as it is hilarious.

Joe M (ag) wrote: I liked it. Good story. Good flow, easy to follow, twists and turns. The Gypsies are looking for revenge, but they get their share of ass kicking by the guy they curse. Take back the curse, or else.

John E (gb) wrote: A disappointingly unfunny Mel Brooks movie. When it is "funny" it wildly clashes with the serious nature of most of the movie. The ending is ridiculously inane and the pathos is nearly overwhelming. The only plus that can be found from this is the suggestion that Mel Brooks might have been a good dramatic actor.

Jacob G (ru) wrote: While I found this amusing and chuckle-worthy at many points, it should be mentioned that the use of comedy in the title probably is more a reference to the Shakespeareian-era usage of the term where "comedies" were stories with happy endings and not any indication of humor content. The fact that the one character is frequently quoting Shakespeare seems to buoy that probability. But even taken in more of a 21st century definition of comedy, The Comedy of Terrors is highly amusing. It is more character humor, with some situational comedy thrown in for good measure. The lines are sharp and witty--and delivered with the keen edge Vincent Price does so well. While the characters are all obviously extreme caricatures that go beyond reality, the actors seem quite at-ease with their roles. I found it quite well done and fun to boot.
