Fred M (gb) wrote: While it is wrong to judge a book by its cover, Taxi will most certainly make you question this idiom. From a loose, uninteresting 'plot' (if you can call it that), the characters are one-dimensional and poorly executed. The soundtrack is a sub-par combination of mid-2000s predictable Top 20 hogwash and other bubblegum pop tunes not worth a damn. The only hope with this film is that it enabled natural selection to take place in the office of some Hollywood executives in L.A., thus freeing us from a world with more banal films like this one.

Grant rounds out his acting portfolio with this impetuous guy who makes some poor choices in his rush to impress a woman. This is one of the few times Grant portrays one of us schmucks, rather than being the guy we wish to be. Watch for the wonderful supporting job Bondi and Buchanan give too. I only wish the ending had included a final twist about an angry 9 year old lad, recently orphaned.
