Paul D (nl) wrote: Low-budget thriller that kind of captures a good mood using the evening of London's docklands area to good effect, but the other elements including the acting and story are not up to scratch.

Pourya E (us) wrote: Maryam Keshavarz has managed to do something of an impossible, she has tackled a taboo in a country which does not tolerate its manifestation, let alone allow cinematic adaptation. And she has done it graphically, yet sensually! The production design and the cast's performance deliver such a credibility that gives the whole production a sense of authenticity that is hard to achieve. Other than the second gen actresses' accents its really hard to tell that this is not being made in actual Iran!

Gregory W (de) wrote: yikes! real bad don't even bother.

Ian M (de) wrote: I actually forced myself to carry on watching this film, because the acting was SO horrific & the characters SO unlikeable that I wanted to see just how they were killed off. Bad effects with gallons of blood to cover them up?! Just watch Hostel, as at least that is well-made. The blood wasn't even realistic in this!

Ryan A (de) wrote: I got to say that "Step Up" is a movie that will get you mind into the rhythm of great dancing. The performances in this movie are really outstanding. "Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum's chemistry is like magic with a breath of fresh air!" The directing by Anne Fletcher is excellent. The screenplay by Duane Adler and Melissa Rosenberg is really good. The choreography in this movie is so well done. "It's a totally a knockout!" And the score is really magnificent. Other then that I got to say is "this movie is that is entertaining and enjoyable!"

Viviana R (es) wrote: How is this at 55%? I've seen this movies so many times, I've lost count. One of my favourites.

Jason D (ca) wrote: Seriously.... would anyone watch this movie?

Claire T (ca) wrote: it was an ok film but it could have been better, it starred Tim allen and Kirsty Alley, it was an ok movie but could have been better, I want this on DVD, it starred Wayne Knight, Michael Lerner and Jay O Sanders

Fredrik G (ca) wrote: this is one of fritz lang's best films, maybe second only to "m". visually it's also one of the most satisfying of all films, lang's and otherwise (the tear gas attack on the armoured car...). even though it's only 80 minutes it finds the time to be a love story, a crime story and a story about society at large, but with such a master storyteller 80 minutes is plenty. and lang manage to pull of quite a few narrative tricks as well. magnificent!

Michael W (nl) wrote: Bronson delivers again as a secret agent uncovering gunrunning and gold swindling aboard a train. I think he went over three decades without doing a below-average movie. Good theme and a very notable cast, including legendary toughs Robert Tessier and Ed Lauter and sports legends Archie Moore and Joe Kapp.

Quincy T (de) wrote: A sick man chasing another sick man, it is as depressingly bad as it sounds, and even worse to witnes . It's a gambit to cast Nicolas Cage movies these days, he might perform well and there's a spark of his former glory, but eventually his performance is either lackluster or overly theatrical. Dying of the Light is no better, this is a severely tedious journey to watch despite the occasional good views. Its intended message of patriotism is buried underneath weak script, missed chemistry and overwhelming lack of thrill for a crime drama.Evan Lake (Nicolas Cage) is a veteran agent of CIA, he is still vexed by the escape of one terrorist who tortured him decades ago. Believing that the terrorist still lives Lake pursues him before his brain disease incapacitates him further. This is a unique premise, both protagonist and antagonist have debilitating diseases. Lake even uses medical record to track down his prey, so the film wants to depict both sides with a strange common trait of frailty. Sadly, the acting is inconsistent. At a couple of sequences Cage might seem emotionally spot-on as the disease hampers him, though most of the time he reverts back to maniacal laughs and screams. Anton Yelchin as Milton Schultz is supposed to be Lake's prodigy. The mentor and student relationship feels inauthentic, even though both actors show potential commitment. Script has a very harsh political undertone which may put some viewers off. The overall process is just an exhausting ordeal to watch. The film moves back and forth from United States and a few exotic locations. Cinematography isn't bad, though it does seem underutilized. It awkwardly pans through a few slow scenes as the actually chase , filled with medical and espionage jargons, is highly uninteresting. If one is looking for action here, it's safe to say that the film offers so little, practically only a couple of scenes of bare bone action and these aren't even that well made.Dying of the Light is an uninteresting thriller, there's no satisfying conclusion and the effort to make it there is awfully dull.

Carlos I (ru) wrote: Solid action flick. Love the cast. How did Kurt Russell not become a huge action star back in the day...? lol. I love Segal's outcome in this.
