Jess M (au) wrote: Better than 3 stars, but not by much. It's pretty much just about a bunch of guys cheating on their wives, which makes it hard to relate to most of the characters. There's some comedy intertwined...

Mareen K (jp) wrote: I didn't expect much so I wasn't too disappointed when the movie turned out to be predictable with bad effects. Not the worst I have seen but I wouldn't recommend it if someone wanted to see a scary movie.
Michael S (gb) wrote: Boring, shoddily-made coming-of-age story. Film suffers greatly by both montage and soundtrack overuse. Every scene transition seems to have a different '70s rock song without any rhyme or reason to its use.

Peter P (us) wrote: Distinctly average thriller from Mr. Hitchcock. Heavy on the propaganda and light on suspense.Nowhere near as good as his later stuff!
James W (ru) wrote: This is the ultimate surrealist film, the images are incredible and I love how Luis Buuel uses his film to criticize religion, Hollywood, and German Expressionism.
Joey F (nl) wrote: The most curiously underdeveloped of Ghibli's stories. Nothing is taken as far is needed and thus the film just leaves you wholly dissatisfied. The parents are one dimensional, the boy is one dimensional and kinda creepy, and his relationship with Arrietty feels very forced. Yonebayashi does do an incredible job directing the animation though. Some of the best Ghibli has had, and that is saying something.
Adam T (jp) wrote: Essentially an action movie, Brosnan's second 007 outing does have some flashes of style and sophistication but the emphasis on bloated action sequences (which are certainly very skillfull and impressive) often feels a bit too gratuitous and undermines some very good scenes and exchanges early in the film (particularly Bond's tense but funny confrontation with an assassin). Aside from that, some of the henchmen are very cliched and there is a general derivitive feel to everything. Haven't we seen all this before? It's like a two hour montage of Bond's greatest hits. Goldeneye atleast had eloquent dialogue, set pieces and the added benefit of being the first Bond in 6 years, giving it a new freshness.
