Nicholas S (au) wrote: Yeahhh, Casper Van Dien is back!!! Sadly this didn't help the movie one bit!! Just like the first sequel, this movie is total pants!! Oh yeah Jolene Blalock is good to look at but even she couldn't save the movie! Remember it has now been 10 years since the first movie!!! So how is it that the special effects are worse in the sequels then they are in the original movie from 1998. Also the acting was beyond terrible! One good thing though about this movie is that it is so so funny!!! Obviously it's not supposed to be but some scenes are just hilarious. Overall my opinion is to just buy the Blu-Ray version of the first film and leave it at that!

Joshua L (jp) wrote: The movie blends serious issues of the past with comedy very well. It makes for an insightful but enjoyable flick.

Sarfara A (it) wrote: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is spoof-satirical film Carl Reiner directed and co-wrote screenplay with George Gipe and Steve Martin. Film stars Steve Martin. This is frequently dubbed as being parody-cum-homage to film-noir detective movies of 40's, shot in black-and-white. Film takes footages from 18 yesteryear classic films. Rigby Reardon (Steve Martin) is hired by young woman 'Femme-fatalish client Juliet (Rachel Ward) to investigate death of her father (a scientists and cheese-maker) in an accident that she suspects was 'murder'. Humphrey Bogart as Marlow from The Big Sleep is mentor to Steve Martin. This is an amazing effort on modern-period to combine classic actors' dialogues, presences, conversations, expressions to match Martin's over-the-shoulder visibility. Extra attention was paid to withhold typical period-atmospheric tone of the film. You simply cannot shrug this off, since it does come with dialogues and expressions full humor and wit. Steve gets pleasantly excited when Juliet thrice sucks a bullet out of his left-arm. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is a smart film. NOTE: Many classic legendary actors are shown, Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Kirk Douglas, Cary Grant, Ava Gardner, Alan Ladd, Burt Lancaster, Charles Laughton, Ray Milland, Vincent Price, Barbara Stanwyck and many more.
