Heather K (mx) wrote: The first half was fantastic. I enjoyed the meandering pace and unfolding quirky stories. The second half contained some interesting moments, but the repetitive story elements stalled the flow of the story and drained my interest. By the end, I was pressing fast forward (something I rarely do).
Jim E (nl) wrote: A very creepy LA story, with Colin Hanks as the creep. It will hold your interest from start to finish. It all seems so believable. And that makes it scary.I liked Amie, the young Latin girl who is being stalked. She was someone I would enjoy seeing again. I won't spoil the ending..so just rent it and watch it.

Andy B (kr) wrote: Wild at Heart is a movie about love-struck youngsters making poor decisions and chain smoking while the evil mother-in-law's murder posse is hot on their trail as told through some kind of Wizard of Oz motif. I loved it. This is Nicolas Cage at his best, long before getting mixed up in bullshit like Gone in 60 Seconds & The Wicker Man. As with every David Lynch film, oddly menacing characters and moments of dark absurdity will either repel or overjoy the viewer. There's just no way to accurately describe a David Lynch experience. If there's one director whose technique is truly inimitable, it is totally David Lynch. Willem Dafoe as creepy asshole Bobby Peru is one of my favorite characters of all time.
Simon D (es) wrote: I thought it was about time to see what all the fuss was about with this film. To be honest I think this was so hyped simply because of the soundtrack. I expect that the millions of fans of dadrock out there will probably have this on dvd. It's not a bad sci-fi / fantasy film, it has some splendid scenery too but the casting is a bit odd - a Frenchman playing a Scot, a Scot playing a Spaniard, and an American playing a Russian baddie. You don't get that happening very often.
