I'm also gonna say right off the bat that I'm giving this movie a point because I realize that it doesn't appeal to me, but it might appeal to very young children, maybe age 3 or 4. For me, as an 18 year old watching this, I can say that it was nothing short of excruciating. This is one of the most painful movies I have had to sit through in a very long time. Nothing about it was funny and the performances were horrendous all around and the film came close to making me claw my eyes out. The only positive I can say is that VERY young kids might enjoy it. Anybody above the age of 5 years old is probably out of the film's demographic. All the characters were unlikable, the script was horrendous and the direction was non-existent. How this got a wide release in cinemas is beyond me. Even for a children's film, this is bottom-of-the-barrel stuff right here.
(kr) wrote: Quite an odd but entertaining comedy based on quite a simple idea. A guy goes out to work hoping his house is going to be viewed and sold without incident, but the worlds biggest amount of bullshit happens in his absence, leaving him with a trashed house full of fuckwits, one of whom is armed. Its a bit disjointed, and the scenes with him at work are quite boring and uninvolving, but its basically a worthwhile watch with a couple of brews.

(ru) wrote: Not overly profound, and the conclusion is somewhat incomplete, yet overly neat, all at the same time, but somehow it works. A movie really just to sit back and absorb the characters and relationships. A great nostalgia piece, Big Chill-like.All-star cast, though some weren't stars yet: Matt Dillon, Timothy Hutton, Mira Sorvino, Uma Thurman, Michael Rapaport, Natalie Portman (14 years old at the time), Lauren Holly, Annabeth Gish, Martha Plimpton, Rosie O'Donnell, David Arquette, Noah Emmerich, Great performances all round.
