Santa's Summer House

A dense fog falls over Southern California, sending a group of discontent vacationers to a mysterious island occupied by a jolly old soul whose Christmas magic works all year round. Mohammed A (es) wrote: Lame story with even lamer ending than the unreasonable novel ending, the directing suffers incredible reduculas over use of slow motion style...boring long close up scenes and ripping off scenes from famous forign movies not to mention even from Harry Potter..Only the acting was amazing though also soundtrack and the camera manDirecting and Story Sucks

Luvinia C (au) wrote: This movie goes beyond just a couple fighting to stay together as the synopsis indicates. Terri McMillian does a brilliant job of expounding on the plight of the relationship of men and women who are from two different worlds (so to speak)

David E (nl) wrote: A completely innocent family film. Despite being full of the cheesy dialogue and plot points typical of family faire of its time, it remains easily enjoyable for modern audiences. Kids will love it and adults looking for kid-friendly films will be entertained as well.

Doug O (au) wrote: - Federico Fabrizi presenta ??The Gold of Cairo?? staring Tony Powell & Gina Romantica - That??s the movie within the movie ??After the Fox,?? a Peter Sellers classic and one of the funniest, most unusual comedy movies you may have never seen. Directed by one of the founders of Italian neo-realism, Vittorio De Sica, who was no stranger to comedy, but ??Fox?? was an unusual melding of Italian and Hollywood comedy featuring a US/UK cast with Italian supporting actors. Peter Sellers is terrific as Aldo Vanucci, a criminal mastermind known as The Fox; Brit Ekland is his sister, Gina Vanucci, the aspiring starlet; Martin Balsam plays it straight as Harry, the agent for an aging Hollywood star in a tour de force performance by Victor Mature who steals every scene he??s in as Tony Powell. Akim Tamiroff is Okra who partners with The Fox to smuggle the gold and the strikingly beautiful Maria Grazia Buccella plays Okra??s assistant. The movie features a snappy and groovy score by the great Burt Bacharach and the screenplay was written by Neil Simon and I can only imagine what the Italian set was like on this movie. It would be interesting if the movie was released featuring the Italian sound track which featured its own unique score and the Italian dialog for the supporting cast. The movie is hard to categorize or describe, but it is essentially a heist film comedy. Sellers?? gets to try several funny accents, but mostly plays it straight. While the movie is over-the-top, it??s mostly because we the viewer are in on the joke. The ending is one of the most bizarre endings of any movie ever made and as a kid it made for much discussion among my friends. This movie is not to be missed and I try to watch it at least once or twice a year?

Michael R (mx) wrote: Smart, thrilling and action packed. This is a much needed improvement over the series last entry. Skyfall is an impressive return to form for Daniel Craig. The film delves deeper into the dark and gritty roots of this rebooted Bond, but manages to give plenty of familiar nods to the character's rich cinematic history. Throw in an impressive and memorable villain and you have most of the ingredients for a classic 007 adventure.
