The idea of a man going through all twelve grades again seemed like something worth watching. The parts where Chirs Farley was on the screen were amazing: For instance: "NO YELLING ON THE BUS!" And my favorite part when Sandler was on the screen was when he was speaking gibberish or chasing the penguin. There's not much else to really say about Billy Madison though. And the most I can say is that it's enjoyable even for the people like me because I hate Adam Sandler and I still hate Adam Sandler even after this movie was over. And for the die hard Sandler fans... well you know who you are.

Batman: The Killing Joke opens with Batgirl (Tara Strong) following a lead Batman (Kevin Conroy) is given by Commissioner Gordon (Ray Wise), and gets involved in a bad romance that makes her quit being Batgirl, especially after the controversial Batman-Batgirl sex scene makes her feel weird about it. This opening act was not in the graphic novel, they put it in to stretch the length, but it adds some emotional layers to Batman visiting Barbara in the hospital, and makes it more personal for Batman. I feel like this worked in the length, but they could have explored it better if they really tried and stretched it farther. After that written-in opening act, we get to the adaptation of the just-as-controversial graphic novel that sort of puts the graphic in said phrase, but not quite. Long story short, Barbara Gordon, outside the context of being Batgirl, is shot by the Joker (Mark Hamill), photographed naked and bloody, and Mr. J puts them to use to torture her dad to prove his point: anyone can snap after one bad day. The animation is great, and it's the little blood splatters that help sell the action's brutality. However, The Killing Joke doesn't go as visually far as you'd think based on the trailers: the aforementioned blood splatters, and the Joker's flashback sequences and actions take are what give it that rating, and I'm glad they didn't try to force the PG-13 rating onto it, and it all works out. However, there are a few moments when you might think "were they trying to tone this down?" You'll know it when you see it. What also helps sell the disturbing nature of this story is the soundtrack from three composers: Kristopher Carter, Michael McCuistion, and Lolita Ritmanis, all from past DC animation projects. They don't do anything new, but they do their job. Batman: The Killing Joke kills at being more mature than anything that Warner Bros. animation did with the three top-billed actors in the DCAU, because this is a well-done psychological twister that might have been able to slip away with a PG-13 rating if they'd toned it down, but got the R-rating it needed and deserved. All it takes is one intense premise and execution of said premise to be mature enough.
