Robert H (us) wrote: As Asylum is apt to do, this time they are feeding off the Hollywood film Battleship. The difference, they were actually able to film on a real live battleship at sea! This added a huge amount of cred to the look and feel of the picture. Sure there are plenty of really lame fake looking shots and scenes, but for a low budget picture of this caliber, the flick looks pretty good. The story is similar to Battleship though not entirely the same. Is it perfect? Not at all, but it does manage to work for this type of film and is above par all things considered.I truly enjoyed American Warships though I do think they should have come up with a better name in order to better "trick viewers". Oh, and unlike Battleship, this flick actually uses the famous line from the game commercials ;)

Luc M (it) wrote: In general the film is very good, incredible special effects, this film shows that Tony Stark is not iron, but the end left much to be desired, this thing of Aldrich Killian talk that is the Mandarin was not too cool, let alone the Tony take the reactor.

Jairo A (br) wrote: I can't really compare it to the novel by Jack Kerouc since I haven't read it...but it was good, not more not less. The actors did a good job overall but the pacing at times seemed to be inconsistent. Kristen Stewart definitely plays a different role in this film! 6/10 or 3/5

Sylvie G (ca) wrote: This film goes way beyond the issue of poor wages to the weakest members of our society. It's about how we treat each other, what we are ready to do for one another and the perils of ignoring history or injustice.

David F (fr) wrote: An interesting coming-of-age story set in Sweden during World War II, Widerberg's film defies the usual conventions that such films fall prey to. The most interesting switch from the usual involves the growing relationship between the student lover and the cuckolded husband, which is much more interesting than the love affair itself. Best scene shows them alone in the kitchen, listening to Brahms' Deutsch Requiem, and finding it incomprehensible that the language thay're listening to is also the language of the Nazis. Final freeze frame shot is reminiscent of the finale of the 400 Blows.

Alex r (au) wrote: Third entry is a good horror film that uses every horror clich to its advantage to create an entertaining horror film. This third entry is a film designed purely to satisfy the most diehard horror fan and it works. You get the blood, the gore and the scares. Children of the Corn 3: Urban Harvest may not be a perfect entry in the series. This entry has enough going for it to make it a worthy third entry to the original film. I very much enjoyed the kills here, and the story was entertaining and well constructed. There's an effective creepy story at work here, and for the most part, it succeeds. There are things that could have been improved, but this is a good sequel nonetheless and it delivers effective horror with plenty of blood and gore. The film has a good script, and unlike some of the other sequels, this film is quite fun to watch, and will delight horror fans. There are plenty of good horror elements at work here, and I don't know why this film wouldn't appeal to a horror fans, as this film uses every horror clich in a creative manner to create a fun, entertaining and creepy horror film that should be seen by fans of the original Children of the Corn. Urban Harvest is a fun, entertaining third sequel in the Children of the Corn series. Fans will surely enjoy this film and despite its imperfections, the film is still a must watch for fans of the series.

Dave J (jp) wrote: Friday, March 11, 2011 (1981) Road Games SUSPENSE/ THRILLER Interesting idea starring Stacey Keach as meat truck driver, while driving, suspects that the driver riding on front of him is really a serial killer! With the use of vehicles and the same musical score as Mad Max II, that instead of cramming it with car crashes, what this film has is great suspense such as extreme paranoid thoughts! Labelled as trashy and low budget, this actually makes the most of whatever money they had and made it into a well made drive-in feature film! More influenced by director Alfred Hitchcock who went on to direct Psycho II! 3 out of 4

Danielle L (it) wrote: Maybe it's because I grew up in the 70's and 80's, but I have loved this film since the first time I watched it. The acting itself is good, if you're the type that focuses on facial gestures, body language and timing...like I do. Give it a chance and you may just like it. Plus, I think it's one of the only films George H. was any good at...he he
