Eric H (kr) wrote: A movie that feels very realistic. A modern Singapore family facing problems that are very similar to what families face in western countries. You care about each main character,Sometimes good people do bad things. This movie is as much about the family as it is about Terry''the maid' (we only learn a little about her life back in the Philippines), but her presence, her humility and inner strength quietly permeate these people's lives. At the end of the film, the family's economic future is on a very slippery slope. But they have each other. They are rich. Even though none of them is perfect. A nice glimpse of life in Singapore.

Most people are going to be a disappointment when that;s still on offer right? Anyway, it's all predictable bt moves along quick enough to its inevitable denouement which is a relief.

Lester F (es) wrote: It's odd how light the vibe of this movie gave off to me despite all of the killing involved. Not sure if that's just me being desensitized to violence or how this movie is supposed to come across. There was some pretty good social commentary in this movie, kind of reminded me of mean girls, I wouldn't be surprised if it was influenced by this movie. I really liked the pacing of the movie, Honestly I was not expecting this movie to be this way, not knowing too much about the movie the poster made me think it was a typical 80s comedy. I didn't really realize how quickly so many characters had died, it all flowed pretty well. Performances were great all around, making this movie charming despite it being so dark.

Patryk C (it) wrote: Another murder comes crashing in on the lives of a peaceful Charles family. With a new baby on their hands, Nick and Nora try to stay away from any cases that might turn their lives upside down again. Yet the inevitable happens sooner than expected, when they're invited to a house of an old man named MacFay. After a perfidious killing and a complex investigation, Nick gathers the whole bunch of suspect in a cozy room, and once again solves the seemingly unsolvable affair. Without losing the series' wonderful charm and laughing-out-loud gags, Another Thin Man comes as a strong position in the series. Maybe only a bit too long at times.
