(mx) wrote: cringed quite a bit, but it wasn't totally insufferable. very conflicted feelings about this film, 't was bit of a bumpy ride. (and what was with 'em dream sequences??) it was kinda painful seeing k.d. lang in her acting debut, but at least she had the charisma to pull it off.
(us) wrote: Surprisingly good film this. Very well acted by Kevin Bacon. Worth a watch. Bit slow to start but powerful when gets going.
(us) wrote: Good remake, they did something a little bit different but the core is still there. A good story performed by top actors.
(ag) wrote: One of the best Elvis movies of all of Elvis' movies was made before he went into the army. The rot in movies began as soon as he got out of the army.
(us) wrote: It's slow, it feels empty. But it has it's fun parts
(mx) wrote: Overall pretty average, but that "running through he forest while being shot and shelled" scene is so classic Guy Ritchie it's hard not to smile in awe.
(ag) wrote: Director John Ford's very able direction lifts the Worl War II film to well above average. The cast is excellent. Robert Montgomery is particularly good. John Wayne gives his usual adequate acting job. Exciting and well filmed.
