(ag) wrote: A peek into the poverty-stricken world of a boy and his teen sister trying to make ends meet anyway they can in present-day New York City. As their daily routines are presented, you see the pair take joy in the little things. At the same time, they struggle with the realities of the real world and growing up on their own. With no real plot line, this film depicts the good and bad in their lives, while leaving you in wonder of their future.

(ru) wrote: Runaway Jury isn't original; it apes "12 Angry Men" in every possible way. The movie isn't particularly well acted either. In addition, it can be tedious at times. What does the movie have going for it? A great script and witty dialogue that save the movie from being a complete and utter disaster of a film.

(gb) wrote: this should be compulsory viewing in every single secondary school. there's no narrator or anything, the images speak for themselves. truly amazing and heartbreaking. somehow we need to stop this madness. maybe if everyone watched it they would be able to make the association between what they have on their plates and the being it comes from. i know there will still be cynics who won't find any problem in what this documentary depicts. oh well, there will always be wankers, i guess.

The posters claim this 75 minute curiosity took a year to produce, but the results make Roger Corman look like Cecil B DeMille. The plot riffs "King King" so much I'm amazed RKO did not sue. And Willis O'Brien surely had a giggle fit over the men in rubber suits trying to look like T Rexes. If the first half channels "Kong," the second channels "Giligan's Island," as the explorers try to escape the island.Tip of the hat to Dave Gregory and Joseph Parra for suggesting this. Not for the comically impaired
