The film makers go around the world 4 times to investigate everything about bees. 3rd generation old school Germans, western U.S. big production bee business, "killer bee" perils and promises, and even a look at what's happening in largely bee-less China. jay n (jp) wrote: Beautiful looking western in dazzling Technicolor is otherwise an ordinary affair but does have Rock Hudson and Donna Reed both on the cusp of bigger things. Donna made From Here to Eternity the same year as this and Rock would break out of the B's the next year with Magnificient Obsession, This film does have a good pace and a hissable villian in Phil Carey plus an early peek at Lee Marvin. For western fans or admirerers of the stars this will be an enjoyable view.

Merol Kim C (de) wrote: Coldwater is now one of my favorite drama films. It is a satisfying take on a coming-of-age, young masculinity themed storyline that was just so darn effective that it had a chilling and lingering effect in the end. First of all, the critics are absolutely correct in saying that Coldwater is a film of great performances. And I must say that lead actor P.J. Boudousqu (As Brad Lunders) stole the show. He blew me away because his skill in acting is by far one of the best I've seen. Other notable performances include James C. Burns as the head of the reform facility and Nicholas Bateman as a troubled trustee. Likewise, as stellar as the acting is the film's cinematography. This made the film visually beautiful. What's more is that its execution is handled well, filling thrills scene after scene and emotions frame by frame. However, there were several times that the film made a "hit-and-miss" pattern in delivery and the drive to the climax became unsteady after its first hour. Still, its general impact to me is enough to contain the flaws behind bars. Overall, Coldwater is promising in spite of its blemishes and director Vincent Greshaw has pulled off one fascinating drama. 4/5 :-)

Niall M (jp) wrote: Great watch if you like to set yourself upon an emotional and philosophical rollercoaster. Somewhat confusing and somewhat poorly represents the physics of theories raised but makes up for this through its stunning visuals, breathtaking cinematography and excellent homages to previous works.

Tyler R (au) wrote: This movie is awesome. There hasn't been a lot of this types of movies recently. It was action packed and gory and hilarious at the same time.
