I can't really give it 4 stars, but in some ways it deserves it. The dialogue is actually quite funny and unique, the script is not pretentious at all, and it delivers successfully everything it throws at you. Mindless entertainment done right.
Fawn O (nl) wrote: As far as indie romantic comedies go, A Case of You is about as unremarkable as its title. Normally, I would savor the prospect of viewing an on-screen relationship between Evan Rachel Wood and Justin Long; alas, even they couldn't shield us from nauseating superficiality and a slew of campy pop songs (most of which encroached on the few aspects about the film that may have been somewhat appeasing). Indeed, I am disappointed. I am not entirely certain if it was the lack of chemistry between Wood and Long, my lack of respect for the unpalatable personalities of their characters, or the severely underwhelming premise that grated most on my nerves. Despite the lead's objectionable efforts to manipulate the object of his affection by, essentially, Facebook stalking her, we fail to see the consequences of those actions. Instead he is ultimately rewarded for being deeply pathetic and cowardly and we, as the audience, are spoon fed -- nay! We are force fed a paltry and overreaching happy ending. Wood and Long are above settling for such insultingly formulaic and emotionally spineless garbage. What were they thinking when they read the script? Oh, and let's not forget the wasted talents of Busy Phillips and Vince Vaughn; they, too, can do so much better. This film really didn't seem to take itself seriously enough. I would have preferred to see it go in a different direction; one that's a tad more disciplined, realistic, and respects its own ideas.

Jeff B (gb) wrote: Well done true story about two friends who kill a guy to prove how smart they and expect to get away with it (Hitchcock told the story in Rope). This focuses on the aftermath of the incident on how they got caught and their case. While a young Dean Stockwell does a nice job, the standout is, not surprising, Orson Welles who plays their attorney. His closing argument is quite amazing, I wish he was in the film more. E G Marshall is also very good. Overall, a nice ensemble and a well told story, it's worth checking out.
Ted W (mx) wrote: Ok dancing movie starring patrick swayze . Everybody I know ask me what's better dirty dancing or foot loose. And to be honest dirty dancing wins the bout of the better dancing movie. This movie has better dancing scenes and when Patrick picks up the girl above his entire body, that scene is iconic. The story was a plain romancey story that's just bland.
