Greg P (es) wrote: Decent movie. I'm not sure if it was originally a sequel to Havoc or they just through the Havoc 2 onto the title. Either way, it is quite a bit toned down from the original. There are some pretty good up and coming actors in this. Amber Tamblyn does a nice job conveying the different emotions her character is feeling.

Phillip J (fr) wrote: The Dardennes are the great moral filmmakers of current European cinema, filling the rather large shoes of Krzysztof Kieslowski. La Promesse is them finding themselves as narrative craftsman and Igor's story shares all the qualities that make their later films so graceful and relevant.

I thought the director's premise was confusing, but then again I could barely hear what was being said half the time. Audio was crap, but I could hear the background music perfectly. Wtf is up with that? Rickman and Ooms performance, however, was stupendous. I personally loved the music, the costumes, and the way characters of the era were displayed. My favorite parts were of the subtle jokes throughout. No doubt I will watch this film again, but only for the actors. And with the speakers on high.

Private U (fr) wrote: The first of a trilogy from director Massimo Dallamano, though sadly the third installment RED RINGS OF FEAR, he was only able to script as he died suddenly in a violent car accident before production of the film. Anyhow, with SOLANGE, Dallamano sets up a very complex giallo starring Euro-Cult fav, Fabio Testi and the very sexy Spanish starlett, Cristina Galbo. Solange is played by a very young Camille Keaton, the daughter of Buster Keaton. She would later be better known for her role in the cult classic I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE. SOLANGE is one of the best examples of the gialli of the day. Intense storyline, great character roles and super score from Ennio Morricone. Once you have seen this film, you'll want to see the sequel, WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO OUR DAUGHTERS. Which is equally as good in a much different way. Sadly RED RINGS, with the absense of Dallamano's direction, falters through the cracks!

Tiber C (es) wrote: We loved this movie! My husband and I and our 2 year old son enjoyed it so very much (and my parents loved it too)! We have watched it probably 4 times already! I think it is a masterpiece just like Anastasia and Ice Age! I thought it was hilarious and I have nothing bad to say about it whatsoever! I think it is great for kids and adults alike without having inappropriate jokes that are totally over kids' heads (like in Shrek 1). The story is great and the animation is top notch. The actors all do a great job!I just don't want to hype it up too much for those who haven't seen it yet...then you might get your hopes up! I think I went into it not expecting to be impressed because I thought Chris Rock would get on my nerves but he didn't. :) And now my son and I are quoting the movie all the time - so we love it that much! Now to grade the film. Animation: A- Characters: B Story: A+For Kids: Yes Music: A Voice Acting: A Overall: A-
