Andy W (us) wrote: The film has so much potential with such a stellar cast, but alas, the script is too manipulative, and the characters too unlikable. Another Happy Day tries to channel Lars von Trier in terms of its characters and story ( complicated, fucked-up, cruel nature of us human beings), but it comes off too intentional and pretentious. The characters are dark but not fleshed-out, and the tone is too uneven.

Simon T (it) wrote: The opening twenty minutes lead you to expect great things from Sam Raimi's Oz back story. James Franco is an appealing lead, the production design is good and (after an opening in B&W Academy ratio) colourful. But as soon as the vapid and wanly-acted witches appear the movie loses its way and becomes a chore. A shame.

David J (nl) wrote: Goodbye Solo was perplexing, like I can't decide whether I really liked it or not. The film is extremely simplistic in its approach, and is very simply shot. The characters are very believable, usually spouting unremarkable dialogue that emulates the conversation between two people. Savane and West do a good job of sticking to the plan. The film moves slowly, but the last quarter is pretty wrenching, and that's what Goodbye Solo is going for.

Jason D (it) wrote: Tim Sullivan is a great fresh face in the horror movie realm. I've enjoyed his work so far in his career, and he is a very kind person. This movie falls here and there in the acting department, but overall, it is a pretty entertaining ghost and who-done-it film set in an attitude adjustment camp for little bad boys. A fresh retreat from overdone sequels, remakes, and fad, trendy horror bullshit. Good film. I cannot wait for Sullivan's next movie (another 2001 Maniacs perhaps??)!!

Jason L (fr) wrote: I don't care if it's nostalgia from my childhood but I love this movie no matter how cheesy the story is

Kristal C (mx) wrote: There's a campiness factor that's kind of fun but overall there's not much of a story and what little of it there is doesn't carry the scenes where people aren't getting limbs hacked off. Plus, the ending is pretty obvious.

Scott R (fr) wrote: a powerful, well acted, anti-war film. In Stewart, they have the right actor for the right part.
