Separation

Separation

Separation concerns the inner life of a woman during a period of breakdown – marital, and possibly mental. Her past and (possible?) future are revealed through a fragmented but brilliantly achieved and often humorous narrative, in which dreams and desires are as real as the ‘swinging’ London (complete with Procul Harum music and Mark Boyle light show) of the film’s setting.

Justin M (de) wrote: A pretty realistic look at what kind of information on you is out there weather you like it or not. As told by David, a man trying to fall off the grid. But as this re-enactment illustrates, with a few a couple clever phone calls and a laptop you can gather a lot of good intel on anybody. Eye opening and scary.

Combining newsreel footage, archive materials, and a few scattered shots of the modern age together, Davies narrates the film with amazing wit and tone. Who else could do it?

David K (ca) wrote: Loved the movie. Set aside what you think about birds and these actors and just enjoy the movie. Also, reading the book helps a lot too. I'm looking forward to watching it again!

Jay B (ca) wrote: I've seen better AND worse killer-kid movies. It has some good names and a pretty creepy vibe... and that's good enough for me.

Paul D (jp) wrote: Not exactly a sequel and not exactly a rib-tickling western comedy, although the story often raises a smile or two as it is nicely performed.

Thomas R (gb) wrote: Very good film enjoyed it as I'm a resident evil fan

Julie K (gb) wrote: Kind of corny, but an ok movie.

Tooba A (ag) wrote: The movie was all about her; however, it did not engage me, and I was bored throughout the whole hour and 37 minutes.
