But when Joleen skips town without her daughter, James is thrust into a role he's grossly unprepared for. At risk of losing Tara to foster care, James hits the road with his niece. Along the way, the pair develop a genuine bond and discover a true sense of family. My Thoughts: "Although I liked the film, it had many potholes. It really didn't fill in some of the blanks for me. But for what it was, it still a good film. Nick Stahl and AnnaSophia were really good in this. Dennis Hopper, was good in this as well. His character is a controlling, hateful man. Its so easy to hate him in this film. As many probably have, or will say, this movie is quite depressing. It really never lightens up. It's a bit slow in some spots and could have ran a little shorter in time. But all in all a good enough flick with a sad and disturbing story."

Jonathan F (ag) wrote: This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. As a man who loves westerns and zombie flicks, I was stoked to sit down and watch this. I now want that two-hours back. Not since "Showgirls" have I been so tired of something that I usually love. The plot is full of dead ends and holes, the performances are stiff and two-dimensional, and the shots and costume design are straight out of Anime. If you like Anime, then this film might just hold your interest... you know, because you're USED to your entertainment not making one bit of sense. Otherwise, give this one a miss. Unless, of course, you really are up for some awfully done historical horror, in which case have at it.... but you have been warned.

Paco R (jp) wrote: Gets the odd chuckle but is more or less a dull and unengaging movie. Best bits in it are the scenes with the two writers trying to make a movie.
Matthew S (de) wrote: Wow! This film is amazing in its uniqueness, and was definitely ahead of it's time!Do yourselves a favour, watch it without reading any synopses as they'll take away some of the kick the film has.I just wish i'd been able to watch this in the cinema for the full psychological effect
Lee M (ag) wrote: A bunch of IQ-challenged characters traipsing through a laughably bad scenario brought to life using silly dialogue, banal direction, and questionable special effects.

Brian V (kr) wrote: This is the sequel to the original book that H.G. Wells should have made. If you like mecha, diesel punk, and history than you will love this. This is what American cartoons should be and it is way better than the critics said. It is not a kids show and should not treated as such, it should be treated on the same level as some of the recent comic book adaptions movies and stuff like Pacific Rim.
