(au) wrote: Great film that truly captures the desperation of your lead over the course of a single evening! Terrific Film Noir, pleased to have it in a larger set of similar material.Recommended.
(jp) wrote: Wow I can barely give this half a star because of how terrible it is. I have no idea what Katt was thinking other then maybe he owed Master P a favor or something. Acting was terrible and it looked like they shot this film in a couple of hours with a camcorder.
(us) wrote: I generally hate war movies. Realistic violence and the true horrors of war do not sit well with someone who generally views movies as an escape. I wanted to see this Spike Lee joint at the first trailer I saw. More than a war movie, this is a story of four Buffalo Soldiers who end up in Italy. More than that this is a story of a father/son bond between one of those soldiers, Train, and an abandoned Italian boy, Angelo. Even though they cannot communicate verbally they create their own tapping language amid a violent backdrop surrounded by all the evils of war. Highly recommended.

(ca) wrote: This is easily the worse Woody Allen film I've ever seen, and my 2 stars are generous ones. I mean I even gave Allen's, Anything Else, a four star rating, but this was awful. It had a few good dialectical moments, when it was trying to be funny, but the romance failed. I understand it was some sort of early montage of Allen's career, but most of it was stuff only Woody himself could get. To add on I think Woody already used enough black and white filming in Manhattan. It was unnecessary to do it again and made the film dull.2 stars-

(de) wrote: I still very much appreciate its spirit, both in terms of no-budgetfilmmaking and sense of fun. I wish that the films of today could haveeven a fraction of its good-natured mischievous approach. Certainly film studios could learn a thing or two, in this ridiculous era of quarter-of-a-billion-dollar blockbusters. I for one don't need the equivalent of 'having my eyes masturbated', as one cinema critic so lovingly stated.I would prefer watching this in a second over any of the ham-fisted,cash-soaked holiday atrocities made in the past three decades (Ibelieve 'A Christmas Story', and perhaps 'Elf' and 'National Lampoon'sChristmas Vacation' to be the last decently-made Yuletide films). But don't take MY word for it...see it for yourself (without the stupidand condescending MST3K commentary) and make your OWN conclusion.
(gb) wrote: This is a funny romantic comedy film that stars Cary Grant and Irene Dunne. Grant and Dunne had great chemistry in this. Dunne was beautiful, elegant and funny all at once. Grant was charming and very comical with his lines and looks in the movie. The story was funny throught out. This movie was unique and had a great story. I found I prefered Grant's and Dunne's previous movie "The Awful Truth" more overall. But this was still a fun watch. Well worth a watch.
(fr) wrote: The Company You Keep is a movie about a group of friends that were protestors when they were younger and 30 years have past and most of them have gone into hiding after a certain protest went horribly wrong and cost someone their life.Robert Redford's character gets framed and blamed for the murder and he goes into hiding under a new name and becomes a lawyer.Shia LaBeouf plays a reporter looking for a news story. He does not drop the story till he gets to the bottom of the story and unveils the truth. For me the story was dry and too long and boring. It was a no action thriller that read like a thriller novel. If this was originally a book this should have stayed a book. Not all books should become movies.Robert Redford was the director and do not get me wrong he has acted and made some great films unfortunately this was not one of them. Not suitable for the kiddies and not recommended. The only thing i liked was one scene he had some great rainforest and lake scenes beautifully shot. One star for that only.
