Tremendously hilarious and entertaining, he, joined with several other people, serve up many funny scenes, even when they are hostages! They all have so much energy and the film seemed to flow together all without seeming too silly. A good job!

Jay B (nl) wrote: This film is genius for all the wrong reasons. We were left with tears of laughter in our eyes as we watch the campest bad guys to ever grace a movie screen get picked off by the exterminator and his happy go lucky army buddy. If you like bad films, this is a classic.
Ruby H (ru) wrote: Released in 1981 at the height of the sub-genres' popularity this slasher is actually one of the better efforts. There's nothing really different or clever about it, but somehow the formula seems to work out to its advantage. B-movie casting, goofy characters, beautifully grim small town, mad decision-making and most importantly a very decent pace (something that even the best of its kind seem to lack) make this, if nothing else, not boring. Gore is passable, deathtoll is okay too, any attempts to create a sense of mystery fall flat but the killer is pretty cool as is the whole concept of combining Valentine's Day with a mine. Yep.The 2009 remake is pretty decent too, gorier but less fun. If you can stand only one then I'd suggest this.
Bheema D (it) wrote: With scenery and lighting that give the film an artificial and unsettling atmosphere - something that would be recurring in Hammer films - Cushing and Lee's iconic roles, bombastic music, allusions to more sophisticated topics without elaboration, and use of gore, pushing the envelope for directors like Hitchcock and Romero to later push further, Horror of Dracula (or, Dracula) is one of Hammer's finest and thrillingly entertaining. I hesitate to give it a 4.5 star rating because of some novel-like dialogue and an uneven narrative, but by the end of the film, you won't give a damn about any of its faults - you'll just marvel in this unique, and morbidly slow spectacle.
Tara H (jp) wrote: Eccentric crime caper that teeters on the brink of catastrophe, but is redeemed by a witty script (by Truman Capote), stylish direction (John Huston), and stellar cast (Humphrey Bogart, Jennifer Jones, Robert Morley, Peter Lorre and Gina Lollobrigida.) An intriguing oddity in the history of maverick cinema.
