(fr) wrote: Surprisingly sweet movie - bonus points that the movie poster doesn't show one of the main actors which therefore makes the ending a surprise.
(ag) wrote: Quite an interesting and bizarre film this. A very powerful/emotional film which follows eight different people dealing with depression and generally being unhappy with their crappy lives. A lot of the charactors are contemplating suicide. This has a fairly decent script and cast. This film is not for everybody and it's nothing like the usual Danny Dyer films. Some of the script is funny, and some of it down right messed up. Not a bad British movie. Quite a sad film with some humour thrown in.
(ag) wrote: great animation with a fantastic story and great characters and the best laika has done up to boxtrolls.
(nl) wrote: Has an interesting visual appeal and ever-present gritty quality, but I feel like there's something missing whenever I watch it. I do appreciate being thrust into the middle of a story, though, and the casting was decent.

(nl) wrote: One of the greatest musicals ever, wonderful songs and a classic Dickens story. With marvellous performances from Shani Wallace, Oliver Reed, Ron Moody and the younger cast members as well.
(ca) wrote: Susan Strasberg in a wheelchair? Things do not get much better than this. Other than the totally brilliant, if slightly predictable, twists and turns of the plot. Basically, this is a film noir flick. The only thing that could have made it, just slightly, better was if Bob the driver used to be a boxer. Then the whole picture would have had everything! Christopher Lee literally eats this movie - since most of his scenes are done at a dining room table. Everyone in this picture is overly creepy, totally suspicious, and speaks in this weird doublespeak that just put me on edge. I really enjoyed this one and think you will too. Its not like the other garbage I am always talking about. This one is a damn fine movie. Plus, Susan Strasberg and a wheelchair!
