In Monte Carlo, Theo Wilkins recruits his young protégé Paul Mason - just released from prison - to help him rob the famous casino of $4 million. The plan is straightforward. On the night of the Governor's Ball, Theo will create a distraction in the casino by having one of the team collapse requiring urgent medical attention. During that time Paul and another member of the crew will get the money from the vault. When the ambulance arrives, the money will leave with the sick man. The plan is a good one but not everyone will survive the robbery and no one will get rich from it. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Nick A (au) wrote: It's quickly apparent that this film's script was written by a person without an understanding of how to write a screenplay and, specifically, even moderately realistic dialogue. It also becomes apparent this screenwriter wants desperately to "pay homage to" the genre, and in his infinite craftiness (sarcasm), his only idea for such is to throw a Lucio Fulci (Zombi 2) tee on an argumentative video rental store clerk (how original).

Mark W (de) wrote: Basket Case is a perfect example of a low budget treat... As a whole the film was actually quite intriguing, it's very different from the normal type slashers from the 80's and with such a peculiar plot, makes a pretty gripping film. The special effects were all pretty good, even the eccentricities of the clay animation and as a whole Kevin Van Henenryck is a pretty average actor, but he fit the part.
