Alec B (ag) wrote: There's a moment, about 2/3 of the way in, that will either win you over completely or lose you. I can't say much more for fear of spoiling it, but sufficed to say I'm firmly in the former camp as it blows up the story in such an exciting way without being inconsistent with the rest of the film.
Berni E (ca) wrote: I love a good documentary and this is a great one! It caught me completely by surprise and has made me look at Lauren Greenfield's other work.
Colin G (kr) wrote: A terrible monster movie. Awful script, poor acting, vanishing SFX and a competely rip off of Tremors. Cheesy.
Ron S (it) wrote: reminiscent of the Big Chill and just as painful to watch.

Gordon B (ru) wrote: Laura Dern shines in this story of a girl who is part saint part slut and all sincerity in this charming movie about Southern mores.
Psypher P (us) wrote: I watched this immediately after 'The Devil Rides out' and to be honest, it doesn't compare well. All the elements are there: frantic heroes and posturing villains but this time around it's all just frightfully dull. With the exception of the demon-fish-baby I can't say there's anything particularly memorable.
Peter W (es) wrote: Has to be one of the best movies of all time..simply brilliant.Plus a tiny speaking role for Michael Caine as a policeman controlling a traffic checkpoint. Yes its a movie of its time but still top drawer.
Ginger C (fr) wrote: My favorite play. I've seen every version committed to film that I can find and this one surpasses them all. Additionally it's one even my young grand daughter enjoyed and understood. Tennant shines in this production which has been called "the Hamlet of a generation". I loved how he brought out Hamlet's smart-mouth side, yet still delivers even in the darkest scenes.
Kyle F (it) wrote: Just as bad as the other sequels.
Jens S (nl) wrote: Through the eyes of two people about to fall in love, this film tells the story of a mysterious pandemic robbing humans of their sense of smell, and that is just the beginning.Of course the movie refuses to give any explanation for the phenomenon, and still efficiently makes each viewer wonder what it would mean for their own lives. Especially the short montages of reactions from around the world to yet another lost sense are gripping and extremely well done. Of course, the film gets more bleak with each loss, yet glimpses of hope remain in the form of McGregor and Green's love. Their excellent performances carry the film through slower parts too. In the end, things pretty apocalyptic and remind you of the even greater "Children of Men", but here the focus remains on the personal reactions of a couple to the unthinkable, that could very well mean the end of civilization. Pretty well done.A pleasant surprise: Star Wars pilot Wedge as McGregor's boss.
James A (us) wrote: Despite an all star cast this film never really hits the mark and has a disjointed feel throughout its long run time. By the end, I had lost interest in the story altogether, and was wishing I had picked something else to watch. The appearances of John Cleese and Jeff Goldblum add humour, but do at the same time create closer comparsion to Blazing Saddles than High Noon, which was presumably not the aim for this gun slinger western. Overall, a weak and confusing plot without a lead character you could really care about. Average fare.
