The commentary about Beethoven's music, and what he was doing in his life, when he composed them, was very interesting to listen to. Art imitating life?I still don't know what an adagio or a fugue means - but I can relate to what feeling the composer wanted to evoke in his audience.Watch it if you get the chance. You'll definitely come out thinking that it is not "elevator music"!

(mx) wrote: Watching it 14 years later probably gives you a biased opinion, but this low-budget, poor script, copy of the Matrix looks just as a waste of money and talent now, as I'm sure it looked in 2002.
(de) wrote: Like Top Gun with racing stock cars, it may not be really original and is quite predictable actually, but it has a very good soundtrack and Tom Cruise injecting a lot of energy into a two-dimensional character who lacks sufficient depth and motivation for us to care.

(ca) wrote: I don't think this deserves the bad press it gets. Yes, it's Cage in manic phase and the mystery is pretty obvious from the get go, but the set up is amazingly filmed and the opening shot is worthy of an Orson Welles. The women in the story are merely damsels in distress (DePalma doesn't do well with strong women) but I found myself interested in how this tale was told.
