Cody M (br) wrote: Surprisingly watchable Sci-Fi (or is that now Sy Fy) Channel monster-of-the-week movie in which a small American town is besieged by a recently thawed out flying reptile. Dumb instead of stupid, the movie mostly raises itself above the usual dreck, thanks to decent performances from the cast (led by reliable character actor Nick Chinlund) and a cunning and reasonably well rendered creature, though the usual b-movie cliches still abound.

Danny M (de) wrote: If you think this is another Indianna jones or Tomb Raider in Asian Ver. You will be very disappointed. But with a gorgeous movie name (and the fact that recently the Chinese movie industry love using this fancy ancient words), the content does quite live up the name. Adding Eric Tsang in the movie is kind of the reason why the movie is being "low", come on he is a comedian ! People do hold some expectations on Jay Chou's work in the movie since he has done suprising job in his first. But audience is already tired and bored of his action figure image and he didn't explore or show another acting breakout. Snap!

Samantha S (es) wrote: Pretty damn good concert film. Funny at times, loved the integration of old Stones footage. The way it was shot was basically unlike any concert film ever. Scorsese cameos were pretty great too.

Caroline T (ca) wrote: This is a fantastic movie. It's hilarious with some darker themes and feelings that anyone can mostly like relate to at some point in their lives ie. feeling left out, unwanted, competitive, jealous, grief, dwelling of the past. It's quirky, funny, a little sad, but you can't not be in a good mood after watching it.

Cesare M (kr) wrote: A dramatic take on the rape revenge trope. It aims higher than it actually hits.

David B (ru) wrote: John Wayne takes on a crooked military captain, who is assissting smuglers. Fairly average, and somewhat dated by today's standards, but for the time this would have been a pretty solid film. Also what miltary advantage can be gained from all the soldiers wearing white wigs?

Christopher E (fr) wrote: Just read the book a couple of months ago, looking forward to seeing the movie.

Aleksander D (fr) wrote: I saw this at the 70 mm festival in Oslo so I might be a bit taken by the amazing picture quality, but this was rather enjoyable. I am not sure what semblance it has to what really happened, but taken as a movie on it own merits given the time it was made in, it was excellent.

Jay B (de) wrote: A very gritty, unsettling, look at life in the hood. If you like gangster movies, this is gang violence to movie extremes.
