(it) wrote: Bayonetta : Bloody Fate is based on the video game. Bayonetta is a witch who fights and kills angels to keep the balance of good and evil aligned. When a mysterious saint makes his first appearance and demands the resurrection of ancient god to bring forth a new world things get all the more interesting. She comes to realize that she is a key to this so called salvation and in the process she will discover her lost memories and true purpose. The Bayonetta movie is enjoyable for those who enjoy the game and has beautiful animation. Lovers of animated films should enjoy it as well, but the film does not extend to anyone else beyond these select few interests.

(ru) wrote: During the her escape Michelle is the only 'survivor' of a horrific car crash. She is discovered and taken to a clinic to help cure her vampirism, but her location is discovered by a reanimated Radu and he travels to get her back. This is the last movie in the 'Subspecies' series, but the events actually take place before 'Vampire Journals'. The appearance of a younger looking Ash is a little confusing and initailly made me think that I had watched the films in the wrong order. But after watching the making of feature, all became clear. The rest of the storyline is unfortunately pretty generic for the series, and the inclusion of an evil doctor as a bit of plot padding doesn't really work. Radu's twisted love for Michelle is more apparent in this movie, and he almost becomes sympathetic character in places. The finale is over too quick, and a bit of a let-down for the last installment. Anders Hove and Denice Duff return yet again as the main characters and (as always) work very well together. On the whole the movie is well made, but does not go out with the bang that a final entry should.

Normally, I would savor the prospect of viewing an on-screen relationship between Evan Rachel Wood and Justin Long; alas, even they couldn't shield us from nauseating superficiality and a slew of campy pop songs (most of which encroached on the few aspects about the film that may have been somewhat appeasing). Indeed, I am disappointed. I am not entirely certain if it was the lack of chemistry between Wood and Long, my lack of respect for the unpalatable personalities of their characters, or the severely underwhelming premise that grated most on my nerves. Despite the lead's objectionable efforts to manipulate the object of his affection by, essentially, Facebook stalking her, we fail to see the consequences of those actions. Instead he is ultimately rewarded for being deeply pathetic and cowardly and we, as the audience, are spoon fed -- nay! We are force fed a paltry and overreaching happy ending. Wood and Long are above settling for such insultingly formulaic and emotionally spineless garbage. What were they thinking when they read the script? Oh, and let's not forget the wasted talents of Busy Phillips and Vince Vaughn; they, too, can do so much better. This film really didn't seem to take itself seriously enough. I would have preferred to see it go in a different direction; one that's a tad more disciplined, realistic, and respects its own ideas.
(ca) wrote: I know this one is called All About Steve, but this is definitely all about Sandra, this is very funny but, you definitely need to be a Sandra Bullock fan to like this because she carries this movie on her own. The rest of the cast is fairly straight shooting except for Bullock, she plays her bubbly, ditzy self but no one does it better, worth a view for Bullock fans, but non fans may not like it.
(kr) wrote: Welcome to Me focused entirely on Kristen Wiig and she was hilarious in this role as a mentally unstable lottery winner. Her character wins millions and decides to start her own televised talk show where she talks about her life the entire time. There are some hilarious moments but also plenty of weird, boring scenes that will leave you in disbelief. This is a dark comedy that can be slow moving at times but if you keep with it, it provides an interesting story and a classic Wiig character. Welcome to Me isn't for everyone but if you can handle some weird and unique stuff, you should get some laughs from this one.
