Manu G (fr) wrote: Revisit your past. Rewrite your future. A very so so you might like it or not Film! The film feels like it makes some sudden stops and gos, with overly convenient plot turns, and a lot of side events that clutter the film, but don't quite seem to really add enough to the story to justify their inclusion, and there could've been a lot more included in there to flesh out Ellie's search for Matthew. I do like, though, that ultimately the film becomes more about if the search is worth it or not, or if ten years is long enough to let the past remain in the past or not. It's an interesting theme, and while I think the search isn't conducted consistently, thematically the film is always exploring if that search is worth it. More interested in partying and flirting with young musicians than work, veteran rock journalist Ellie Klug (Toni Collette) has one last chance to prove her value to her magazine's editor: a no-stone-unturned search to discover what really happened to long lost rock god Matthew Smith, who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. Teaming up with an eccentric amateur documentary filmmaker (Thomas Haden Church in a delightful performance), Ellie hits the road in search of answers.

dustin d (gb) wrote: Without a doubt the worse attempt at western of all time. And do not even begin to believe the dribble about it being spaghetti- to try to coax you into watching it. I am Polish and I was embarrased. The acting, the directing, the transitions- beyond terrible. And do not even get me started on Kilmer's so-called part. I never dreamt I would, but I actually burned the copy given to me by a friend, seriously I burned it- so that it had no chance of seeing the inside of another dvd player. It is that bad. In no way, is any of this an exagerration.
Sarah G (au) wrote: Franco has an interesting sense of direction and as always his acting is great. The supporting cast are perhaps less than stellar. The storyline was interesting but with Franco's direction it was too dark and gritty for my taste. Not that it was a bad movie though.
Dylan M (au) wrote: Pay it Forward is a bearable movie to watch. I didn't think Kevin Spacey and Helen hunts relationship was believable enough. The story drifts on and off all of the time having many sub plots. The movie had a surprising ending and kind of sad and unnecessary in my opinion. Pay it Forward is a movie to watch once and once only

Luciano G (mx) wrote: This movie tries to be too many things at once....it tries to be a romance and fails....it tries to be mystical, but manages cheesy.....some of the animal scenes are okay, but most appear too contrived....
Emily B (br) wrote: Considered a bit of an oddity in Joseph Losey's filmography. Made for Hammer studios, at times it feels like you are watching two films at once, a juvenile delinquent film and a Cold War Sci-Fi. The fact that it feels so disjointed is the main reason why it doesn't quite work. A memorable performance from a young Oliver Reed however, as the head of a biker gang, is worth mentioning. Plus it has one hell of a catchy theme song.
