Jamie C (us) wrote: Another fairytale turned film with an adult ish plot, It wasn't great but wasn't bad the first half hour dragged with not allot happening and when the pace does pick up it's good but soon slows down again, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, The final quarter of the film was pretty good with some great effects but it's all been done before, The giants looked great and the story was good, It's just about worth watching but it's nothing new.

Matt G (gb) wrote: I'm a complete sucker for these old practical effects, where creativity and inventiveness are a necessity to make the action and designs work. Unfortunately, where Mothra thrives in those areas, it laughably fails in character and plot. It's big dumb fun, where the dumb overwhelms the fun.

Adam R (nl) wrote: An odd and somewhat dark story for a musical that I didn't care for. The music is bland and all of the songs seem to blend together. (First and only full viewing - 4/18/2010)

Orlok W (nl) wrote: Gritty drama about illegal aliens remains as topical as it is stylish--Socially and artistically important--and stunning filming!!

Josh F (ag) wrote: Respectably gritty, but a tid disjointed.

Sean C (nl) wrote: In many ways this was made for me. It is a tale of passion mixed with guilt with a dark atmosphere. Not a perfect film but for me thoroughly engaging. The violent scenes are few but jarring and effective.

Don S (mx) wrote: I enjoyed this romantic actioner more than it seems others did. I thought Pine and Hardy played off each other extremely well; even better than they did with Witherspoon. Her character, although intelligent, came off as shallow and a bit unlikable, which is difficult to do when she is so spunky. The invasions of privacy and one-upmanship almost got to the overbearing point but not quite. This is mindless fun.
