Matthew M (fr) wrote: Great sports film which unlike most sports films instead of going for a title win they just want to win one game. It is actually a cool movie and was very fun to watch. It also has a great cast of characters as well.

Colin F (br) wrote: Terrible Script, but I still Love it. Its defentely a film of its time, the swinging 60s and Horror crashing into each other. Starring Alan Bradley from Corrie who comes across a witches cavern that uses dodgy drugs to try and get him to sign a pact with the devil, with Barbara Steele as the Green Goddess. Despite a having a bloody awful script that makes no sense at all with a scooby-doo type ending, its a really entertaining film, its very well made. A understated classic that should of had a better ending.

Nathan R (nl) wrote: Top notch action sequences and a refreshing take on the old vampire genre. Kate Beckinsale does a solid job as the fierce female lead. Time to go watch Blade next.

Stef (de) wrote: ***SPOILER WARNING***Questions that really need to be answered, stat: 1. Why can't the Martians breathe in Mars' atmosphere? And what *are* they breathing? Is it air? How does that work? Where did they get it from? Is there a natural underground air depot on Mars? 2. How are Martian babies made? No, seriously. This bothers me. "They pop out of the ground every 25 years"? Uh, no. If that were the case, why would they even need two sexes? There is clearly some kind of fertilization going on. Try again.3. Why are the Martian still watching Earth television from the '60s? It does not take fifty years for television signals to travel from Earth to Mars. Is the adopted slang amusing? Yes. Is it believable? No.Questions aside, it's a pretty alright move. Not very pretty, and Seth Green's baby face is very, very disturbing, but an alright movie. I'm a bit puzzled as to its message though, because there doesn't seem to be a point. Be a polite and helpful kid? Your mom will get abducted by aliens. Be a bratty, ungrateful kid? Yeah, your mom will still get abducted by aliens. You know what would have been awesome? If Milo's mom would have died in the helmet scene. Because I was sitting there going "No way. There's no way they're going to... Yesssss. Oh man, this is the most depressing children's movie I've ever seen". But then George/Gribble saved the day and ruined everything. In short, watch WALL-E instead. It's prettier and has more space.

Bill B (gb) wrote: Okay, I had heard about this one for ages and I have to say that it definitely paid off in the juicy gross-out department. Fun day-glo '80s era horror that never backs down from the craziness that they throw at you in the opening scenes.Fun stuff and well worth a look.Give it a rental.

It's is about a toy named Sheriff Woody who has been the child, Andy's favorite toy, but when Andy get's a new toy, named Buzz Light-Year is given to Andy for his birthday, so Woody get's jealous and tries as hard as he can to get Andy's attention, but doesn't entirely want to hurt Buzz. Woody's reckless actions suddenly get him and Buzz on a wild adventure, and finally putting aside their differences to work together and get back to Andy. I really loved this movie, it was a large part of my childhood and has had a weirdly big effect on my life. It has great voice acting, (Of course it does, it's got Tom Hanks) great graphics for the time it was created, and is emotionally strong as-well. This movie is a great movie for kids and adults alike. My issues with this movie are that sometimes the characters can get a bit annoying and under your skin when they shouldn't be, and during the middle of the movie, it does drag a bit and takes a while to pick it's momentum back up. Great movie over all.

Bill B (jp) wrote: Gave this a re-watch with the wife on Blu-ray, as it's one of her favorite films, and it holds up amazingly well even after all these years. You can really see how this turned into a summer blockbuster and changed how we look at movies, as it builds in such a way as to keep you guessing who might be expendable, where the beast may strike next.Highly recommended.
