Jordan F (jp) wrote: I've seen some pretty disturbing films and i can take just about all of them. However this is one of the few i would put into a "almost too far" kind of disturbing category. its one of the most shockingly disturbing films ive ever seen. its so shocking that before the climax at the end, they had to put a warning message stating you have 30 seconds to leave this theater. i really like movies that effect the viewer but this was just too much to the point where i was uncomfortable. Having said that, the film was however extremely well-made and the writing was that of a genius. Just not mine, nor a sane person for that matter, cup of tea.

Martin T (es) wrote: The romance between the two leads has an incredibly unconvincing start, although the chemistry is believable enough later on. The angel and devil characters are extremely obvious, yet Bergman felt it necessary to point it out in the ending dialogue. The humor in the movie is really goofy and rarely works, and the messages are too blunt. There is a pleasant sweetness to it, and the acting is pretty good. But it's too much like a Hollywood ripoff, there's little of Bergman's soul in it.
