Kevin T (nl) wrote: The theme for this movie was, "We are a dozen A-list actors, so why try to make jokes. In fact, every first joke we think of goes in the movie." Don't believe me? Watch the movie.

Jason T (jp) wrote: A Clint Eastwood disappointment. The music is great with good performances but when the music isn't playing, the movie turns into a dull biopic. It's full of cliches and stake dialogue. Watch it for the music and skip the rest.

Steve T (mx) wrote: There is a saying: "Even a broken clock is right twice a day." Every now and then, Adam Sandler makes a great movie. This movie is pretty good but it goes back and forth between sadness and extreme hilarity. This movie could have been perfect had it been edited properly. This is where Judd Apatow takes the anomaly of the "Knocked Up" 2 1/2 hour comedy too far. He would continue this I am sad to say. I do wonder to myself - Does Adam Sandler know that the stupid movies parodied in this movie are a direct reflection of his own stupid movies? Regardless - once again - we know that if Adam Sandler is starring in a movie that was NOT produced by Happy Madison - it will probably be good.

Adam A (fr) wrote: With the straight to Dvd releases the American Pie franchise had simple reached its peak with American Wedding, and now going downhill from here with sloppy storytelling, lazy humour and dull directing. Acting-wise the dullness is somewhat beliveable.

Sean D (de) wrote: American Pop was a fun cartoon film that had pretty much no plot and can be considered a animated historic period musical drama film. That's what I would define the genre as. It's very interesting and fun to watch the evolution of a poor child from Russia who came to America and got involved with music and you get to see his the timeline of his family up till his great grandson. There's heavy drug use in this film, especially towards the end, but it's needed for the basis of the plot. There's a lot of downfall and uprise, the family had it hard both based on society and their drug use getting the best of them. There's a lot of skipping around of events in the plot but there's no going back and forth in time. The film is a little bit violent. But in general, this was a pretty awesome film that takes an animated adaption on history with fictional characters for the most part. There was an actually animated Jimi Hendrix and he related to the plot and was actually mentioned.
