Anesia R (ca) wrote: I like how the movie doesn't end with a blatant happily-ever-after scene. Instead, the uncovered fresco offers the audience realistic hope. Priceless.
Sandy R (jp) wrote: Gritty and grim, London to Brighton is a fast paced, well acted drama that tackles morally wrong and taboo subjects with realism and deft precision. It is fairly predictable towards the end but it's still an exceptional good British film.

Four Star F (es) wrote: Here is a great young cast with a fun subject and the ever inspiring ending to the story. It is a film that definitely makes me wish I went to University in Bloomington and I also wish I liked cycling more and could speak Italian. This certainly will not be for everyone but it works as some light and inspiring fun. It includes a young Dennis Quaid, Daniel Stern, and a lead performance by the often forgotten Dennis Christopher.
Caleb M (de) wrote: Bergman is so astute at capturing people being people, that he has his four principles giving on-camera interviews on their characters. It seems odd hearing it, but it provides the film with two realities; one where Andreas, Anna, Elis and Eva are who they are and do what they do, and one where Sydow, Ullmann, Josephson and Anderssn are performing them as they see them to be. It works best as an experiment in cinema first, and a drama second.

Cody D (jp) wrote: A lesser known Nicholas Ray film, this film highlights the impurities of human nature in a very real, honest way. To say that we are hardwired for war seems less and less a stretch, and this film tells that story brutally
Peter F (ca) wrote: They often say that dreams don't usually make for good source material in art, but in the case of 3 Women, it led to a movie that remains nigh indescribable to this day. Director Robert Altman not only based the film around dreams he was having, but shot it without a full script and let improvisational material and an elliptic aura take precedence over plot. Still, the film is absolutely a complex story about female relationships, with Spacek and Duvall both giving morphing performances that bear a strong resemblance to those of Bergman's Persona. One of the most ambiguous and unexpected endings of 70s American cinema too, which might be enough for me to label this film pre-Lynchian.
Dan M (kr) wrote: 4 out of 5 stars! I finally got around to seeing this and all I can say is WOW! A movie hasn't kept me that on the edge of my seat and made me feel real fear in a long time. Maybe it was partially due to the found footage style that made it feel real and like you were in the mix. The lack of a happy ending made me realize why almost every other film ever made has a happy ending. It's necessary! I felt terrible at the end and was left with my jaw wide open in disbelief. That was a RIDE! A terrifying and heart stopping one.
Tj F (ru) wrote: Whilst visually original this movies dark sentiments and haunting characters left me feeling uneasy . The sometimes disturbing scenes and pessimistic undertones leave this movie not quite horror enough to put off most parents...yet i wouldn't recommend this film to younger viewers anyway .

Takee A (us) wrote: By far, this is one of my favourite animated films...EVER! Never in my life have I seen such a movie that goes into such depth, and yet is bound to make you cry. (Partly because I'm only 14 and a half years old).It consisted of some great messages, nice musical themes and some brilliant performances! This was TRULY a beautiful movie that is definately a worthwhile watch.
